      The first sign that the corporation was disorganized is I realized they had the wrong phone number on file for me. I corrected it once, and then called to confirm my appointment where I corrected it yet again. As I had still not received any paperwork before my fertility awareness appointment, I called two days before and corrected my phone number again. The day of the fertility awareness appointment I arrive to find out the phone number had still not been updated and I had to wait 10 minutes for them to locate paper paperwork for me to fill out. The receptionist made a comment that she did not know where they kept the forms. Later in 2024, the clinic had us as self pay twice. We corrected the information twice that we have BCBS. As recently as yesterday, the clinic had us as self pay again which caused the clinic receptionist to block my husband from scheduling a semenalysis because we had to speak with the financing coordinator. When we called the financial coordinator they were shocked because we pay our bills within a day of them being issued and there was no block on our record. Earlier in January I called to discuss "next steps before IUI" with Dr. ***** The receptionist said she did not know what to schedule me for. I said, a discussion with the doctor. She then was upset that I did not know who my nurse was. So she transferred me to the nurse, who called me back to ask why I was calling her to schedule and I should call the receptionist. This was frustrating so I called the new patient line and they recommended I use the word "follow up" and bam I got an appointment. I understand I may not use magic words but a discussion and a follow up are sister words. The office manager reached out to me today to give me excuses that they switched systems and that's why they had me as self pay AGAIN. It is disorganized and unprofessional. The front desk staff was talking about a girl on ******** instead of doing work.

      Sometimes I think about having another child, and then I remember how horrible our experience with *** was. I'm used to being dismissed by doctors and other medical personnel, but the communication between the company's own departments is really what's shocking. My son would have an earlier birthday if they were able to keep to their own stated policies.

      Stay away from this Fertility Centers of Illinois. FCI made our lives truly miserable from start to finish. We were constantly having to double check the work done by ALL departments, including the medical side of things. Our financial advisor NEVER called back. I left this woman a daily voicemail and she literally never called me back. I finally had to call and ask for literally anyone else to help me. Due to an error on FCI's end, we were owed $1,700 which we had to literally track down and demand the money be sent to us. FCI requires up front payment for all services and THEN (if you are lucky) they run your insurance. The overpayment on our end was due to FCI never running our insurance for a cycle and then when WE realized they made this mistake they finally ran the insurance and we met our deductible and had to over pay for the following cycle, which would have been covered if they had ran insurance. FCI will hold your cycle hostage until you prepay and threaten to cancel your cycle due to not paying. The medical side of this business is simply fine. The doctors know you are medically there for a reason and tell you what to do rather than explain the medical reasoning for their choices. The doctor we worked with was personable and nice, but terrible at explaining WHY and when questioned just kind of shrugged and said "because". Medical choices that were made for my wife, in hindsight, were risky and could have resulted in serious injury due to simple lack of attention to detail by medical staff. This place is terrible and you should turn and run away if you are considering using them. We switched clinics and are so much happier and wish we had not wasted so much time and money and stress and tears over this place.

      No thank you. No thank you. No thank you. The front office staff are rude. The nurse managers are rude and use profanity, the doctors are never in and the billing department is a joke. Stay away.

      Horrible Staff and System Very Rude Staff and Office Manager Showed up for an appointment made over a month ago and were told the computer lost it and confirmed verbally. Can't see doctor. Kicked us out and said start over with new patient number, wait a month or two for a new appointment. My wife was crying but the staff didn't care. "Leave or staff will ban you.Worst Doctors appointment ever.

      Billing is a joke! I went in for a procedure (Biopsy) that the Doctor could not complete (needed different tools at a different location) and was still charged for the procedure. I was told that because I showed up at the office and the "doctor attempted," I was still billed, yet no Biopsy was ever completed. What?!?! How is this my problem?? After a month, this is still an open case with the Billing Manager. Keep a close eye out on your billing statements!

      It says a lot about a medical office when you choose to switch the medical office you are working with, simply because of their front office/reception staff. The ********************** location's employees are rude, unsympathetic, not helpful and overall just a displeasure to deal with. During what is already a trying and stressful time, the important conversations and details are non-existent. They did not inform me that my insurance woldn't be accepted, and instead opted to just mail me a bill for the whole procedure amount. After receiving the bill and contacting, they tried to cover their tracks and lie, claiming this discussion was had at the time of the appointment, which clearly did not happen. All of mine and my wife's test results were supposed to be uploaded and shared on an online portal, they never were. At the point when we decided to switch infertility centers and needed our records, we then were told we either had to wait a month (which was too late for our first appointment with our new clinic) OR pay a rush fee to have them done sooner, OUR medical labs that we are already supposed to have available to us! We paid the rush fee, as we had no other options and were on a deadline. My wife called the office to ask what the rush fee meant in terms of timing and waiting, she was bounced from voicemail to voicemail and calling back in, until the front office stared IGNORING my wife's calls and she had to call from a different number. Extraordinarily unprofessional and distasteful. I understand that they have their hand's full dealing with a wide range of emotions and attitudes during a normal work day. But then don't choose a practice and profession that requires a little day to day tact.
