    My team and I are a group of frontline healthcare workers from the Chicago area and we were excited to visit your venue on 9/29, from 2pm to closing. Unfortunately, an incident occurred that will both ensure we never return and never recommend your venue to anyone. A group of officers who were present at the venue decided to target one of the members of our group who also happened to be a black man. In just one specific example, the officer went behind the counter when two of our group members walked up and the officer interjected that theyd get one drink only and made sure they were both IDd. When one of our white colleagues (who is also the youngest) went up to the counter, he was neither IDd nor provided a warning about the amount he could get. This all occurred after the officers demonstrated an intimidating demeanor towards our group at the corn pen (i.e. staring at our group and in particular, staring at our black male colleague they seemed to take issue with). Once they realized our group was large and diverse and full of all sorts of people from various backgrounds, they seemed to back off. The behaviors of the officers (really it was one officer in particular) was noticed by everyone in the group, and it was embarrassing, hurtful, and extremely disappointing. Some of the group were actually almost brought to tears seeing this type of racism in action. Whether these officers are in the employ of the venue or were there just as community members, I wanted you to be aware that this shameful incident occurred.
