    BUYER BEWAREthis dealership engages in deceptive practices. We scheduled a test drive for a 2015 Acura MDX after confirming its availability multiple times, including while en route. We drove over 3 hours based on their assurances. When we arrived, the vehicle was suddenly missing. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were told it had likely been taken home by an employee. Eventually, the salesperson admitted the vehicle had been soldbut not before pressuring us to test drive and purchase a different MDX with significantly higher mileage.Two days later, we received an automated alert that the original vehicle had dropped in price and was still listed. We called the dealership again, and they told us it was available and even claimed to be looking at it on the lot. This wasnt just poor communicationit was a classic bait-and-switch.Buyers should use extreme caution when dealing with this dealership. Our experience was frustrating, time-wasting, and felt deliberately dishonest. We are submitting this complaint so other consumers dont fall into the same trap.

    BUYER BEWARE! Bought a not-so-old used car that appeared nice and clean on the visible areas. When a broken part underneath was discovered within a week, they refused any accountability or responsibility for what would be a somewhat inexpensive fix for them. They hide behind no promises on used cars. I would DISCOURAGE anyone from doing business with McGrath Acura in Libertyville.

    I have had greatest experience buying my 2014 ***** Accord. I came from ********,IN and was blown away at the professionalism of the sales,finance and service departments. I was greeted by ***** with respect, and caring about my needs and not pressuring me into buying cars that I was not interested in and allowed me to feel confident about the purchase of the vehicle. He promised me to not worry everything would be ok. **** helped me keep calm during the negotiations transaction. ****** worked his magic with his lenders and got me even a better rate than my ************* Overall the best car buying experience I ever had.

    I hope this review helps other buyers avoid the mess we went through. We were interested in a car and had been dealing with a sales associate named ***** *****. A few days after our visit, ***** told us another customer test-drove the car and it had transmission issues. He said the dealership took it in for ***************, ***** texted to say the car needed a new transmission and couldnt be sold. Then, he followed up again, saying if repairs were under $4,000 theyd fix it, otherwise itd go to auction. Friday (4/11), he promised an update on Saturday. Then Sunday, another message saying hed confirm things Monday. Again, I didnt ask for these updateshe kept texting.Heres the kicker: I noticed the car was still listed onlineand the price had gone up. My wife called two other sales associates and both confirmed the car was available, in stock, and had no issues. So what happened to the transmission story?I called to speak with a manager, who gave me another excuse: the price went up maybe because they fixed the transmissiondespite it only increasing by $500, which makes no sense. She also said they price at cost, which anyone whos bought a car knows isnt true.I let her know Id be leaving reviews. She asked me to give her good ***** and promised to call me back by noon on 4/15.Its past noon. No call. Cars still listed.They couldve just told us they didnt want to make the deal. Instead, they made up a story about repairs to push us away, then tried to resell the same car at a higher price. If theyre lying about that, what else are they lying about?Avoid this dealership. You cant trust a word they say.

    Please beware McGrath Acura of Libertyville. I contacted this dealership on December ****** to schedule a test drive of a *** x3 for the very next morning. While on my way the next morning they text me for my ETA as I was parking in their parking lot. I test drove the car and spent 2 hours with 3 different people discussing the extra warranty I wanted and financing. After an agreement was made about my $7500 down payment and what the note would be they had me sign and initial. After I signed, and initial they came back to me and said they had sold the vehicle to someone else. I am not sure what the truth was about this situation but I don't believe they just sold a vehicle that I just test drove and spent 2 hours negotiating. Not trustworthy at all STAY AWAY!

    **** ***** is the most honest car salesperson I have ever met. He took the time to really explain all my options, and he answered all my questions thoroughly. I will absolutely buy all my vehicles here, and will absolutely request **** ***** to help me make my purchases.
