Unlimited moving and storage was supposed to delivery **************** state to state. After several missed delivery dates I contacted them to final have to pay an additional for the direct delivery I had then had to pay additional fees. Upon the finally delivery that was over 40 days, I had personal over $2000 worth of my belongs we missing. I contacted there manger who said he was still in the possession of the products and would have to schedule an another delivery date that was another fee. Items missing were big items such my laptop, electric scooter, electric tools, shoes and etc. I continue to try to contact every number they given but have gotta no response.Initial Complaint

**************** and communication is the primary problem working with this vendor. The company lied about how long it would take to delivery my items and then overcharged based off of the weight, regardless of the fact they only ended up moving a fraction of the household items I had provided to them (with dimensions). I kept having to reach out to them to see if/when the would be delivering my items and a no point was there any clarification surrounding delivery date or expected payment (nor how payment needed to be made). I was initially told I could handle all payment with a credit card and that was categorially false (I had to send my mother to go get a postal money order or cash for them to delivery the items). However, despite all of these horrific issues and complications, the company sent me a worker named ********************* who sexually harassed me, while attempting to extort more money, telling me that I hadn't reserved enough space on the truck. This man attempted to massage my back, put his hands under my shirt while I was desperately trying to fill out information and then suggested we go upstairs and check out the 2nd bedroom. He also kept trying to touch me, hug me, ruffle my hair and ended up yelling from his truck "Fuck America" while he was smoking a cigarette and proceeded to tell me how much he hates living in this country. I was mortified, shocked and scared this stranger was even in my house propositioning me for more money and suggesting we go upstairs I have never been so horrifically treated by anyone in my own home and in order to get them to leave, I simply let them take whatever they would and kept walking my dog to stay away from him. The company barely apologized but did say oh, we spoke to him about the bad behavior, as if that was sufficient. In my opinion, these movers are fraudulent and purposefully underestimate the cost to move your items and attempt to exploit you when they show up to move you (especially if you're a woman, alone).Business Response

Hello,I just want to say that I am very disappointed in the entire moving experience with Unlimited Moving and Storage. In the beginning, ****** was very attentive and responded quickly. Once the contract was signed and we paid the deposit the experience changed. Once the movers came they told us that we had to pay ***'s Transport for the move. The price went up by $500 once they had packed the truck and requested payment. Instead of telling my husband that he should remove the shoe rack so that we didn't need to pay the extra 500. I contacted Unlimited about the payment and they said we do pay ***'s Transport not Unlimited. So now we have the price. We still owe 969 once the furniture is delivered. We asked that it be delivered 12/1. Response from the company was like pulling teeth. The finally delivered the furniture on 12/18. Once again we are told to pay someone else. I called ***'s Transport and they said it was an extra 350 for a transport because their truck was too big for parking spaces. It was an extra 300 for stairs because of no elevator. *** said that it was not the company getting the money it was labor for the men who actually did the delivery. To top this entire experience off, they had broke the shoe rack and turned it upside down so that my daughter didn't see it until they had left and she organized her stuff. That means she paid an extra 500 for absolutely no reason because the shoe rack is trash. What a rip off. I cannot believe that you supported this company. My daughter is in ******** working as a flight attendant and does not make good money. This is so disappointing. She paid $1150 more than what she was quoted and had a terrible experience. Someone should be refunding money to her, but who do you ask because there were three people involved that received payment. In June 2023, we chose Unlimited Moving & Storage LLC (UM&S) as they guaranteed professional moving services at a discounted rate. Requested UM&S do an on-site inventory to ensure an accurate estimate but was assured they could provide an accurate estimate by phone and not to worry as we had a dedicated truck. Initial estimate $13,809. The estimate increased to $16,508 and then $20,074. On 6/24, *****************, UM&S QA Manager *************) said our estimate increased to $23,332. Our closing date was 6/28 so we scheduled our move for 6/27. When UM&S arrived on 6/27, the ******* on the job told us they were only there to take inventory (as we originally requested) and that the move would be 6/28. We went to great lengths and additional cost to change the closing date. The new estimate went to $30,864. Called the manager of the company (****** ************) on 6/27 and was told if we would not sign the new estimate, we could call another moving company. It was very apparent these were not professional movers, and they began damaging our possessions immediately. The damage caused by UM&S was substantial and we have the photos to back that up. We were told the truck was locked and would not be opened until the move was complete. Upon arrival it was apparent that the truck had been unloaded and reloaded resulting in much more damage. When the truck arrived, the driver said he could not get down our driveway and our belongings would have to be carted up the driveway at an additional cost of $675. They dropped and broke several items at the end of our driveway, which they tried to hide. We found broken items the next day. As it was going to rain, they started throwing boxes in our garage on top of each other causing more damage. We had 90 days to file a claim with UM&S and we reached out to ****** on 9/5 inquiring how to file a claim. As requested, we provided photos. We have inquired about the claim between 10/4 and 11/29 and we have had no reply.Business Response

10/17/23 hired this company. I even added items to my inventory list to ensure I had enough space. They would arrive on Saturday, Oct. 21st. Told on Thurs. that they were coming on Fri. instead and nothing could be changed about and it would be delivered that same night. They arrived Friday, **************************** was very unprofessional, I recorded our conversations. He had me sign blank documents. They evaluated my items and when starting to load onto the truck stated it would not all fit and I stated you don't have my inventory items on truck ; he said you will have to purchase more space; because they charge by the "lines" in the truck, which was never explained to me. I ended up paying an extra $1K because he said they would get everything but 3 totes. ******' two workers, were playing basketball outside, they packed & unpacked my stuff, until I agreed to pay more. I questioned the Interstate bill of lading contract - valuation addendum, he stated just sign and I said I want to make sure my items are valued at $40K, ***** used his pen and handwriting to write in the area, where it states to have in "customer's own handwriting" and ****** put "60 cents - per pound per article. It was getting to be a few hours in and he stated again they wouldn't be able to take a good portion of my items without paying more; I said I couldn't do that and he said well you can complain tomorrow and they can send someone to come pick up remaining items. He said would be delivered on Sat. by 12PM and I said you all told me the same day. I called on Sat. morning, as ****** stated to confirm the time with dispatch, who I couldn't reach about my remainder of items which was half a big garage full and way more than a few totes left. Movers no showed and was told I had to wait until Mon. to find out delivery. On Mon. **** told me items would be delivered Sat. Oct 28th, Then I was told on Thurs., that the movers were going to be there on Fri. Oct. 27th. Changed so many times/undue stress.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:A portion of the items were picked up on 10/20/23 and stated they would be same day delivery, then when items were in the truck they changed that to 10/21/23 at 12pm. The items picked up were not actually delivered until 10/27/23.
They did not take my listed priority items that I had on my inventory. I had to pay an extra $1000 to have all but three totes remaining there for a friend to pick up. After making the payment, they were demanding more money to take it all and a lot was left there at my exs house. The ******* stated to call in the morning and that they would have someone pick up the remaining items that they didnt take. They said they would not pick up the remaining items. The *************************** was having me sign blank documents, he forged my handwriting on a document and his crew were playing basketball while ****** was trying to get more money from me. Provided a text with Shai, showing their customer service on their ********************** dates around and how they treat their customers. Also, ****** at their organization stated if there was room on the truck, then they should take it and there was more than enough room for the items. I kept focusing and my dad did on the priority items and they said, just call tomorrow morning and they will set up a time to come pick up the remaining items. So I paid more, to still not have my priority and inventoried items taken.
I had to make another 8 hour round trip, find dog sitters, hire help and purchase a U-Haul truck to get the remaining items on 10/28/23. The items remaining were on the inventory list for this company to move and were priority. I paid the Company to move all my items; not so I could get a U-Haul and do myself, if that was the case, I would have gotten a big U-Haul and did myself. They kept changing dates, were very unprofessional and made the move a nightmare.

I am rejecting this response because:I did not agree to the time frame of the spread, I explicitly responded with what all transpired. It caused huge problems not being delivered that night or the next day, as I was told and for the following week it was not delivered until October 27th. Due to the business not taking my requested items and I didn't agree with ***** to leave. I have recordings of the conversations because things were getting out of hand that night and the behaviors of the crew. They stated I needed to contact dispatch the next morning at 7AM and no answers. ****** stated they would send a different truck to pick up my items left behind that were listed to be picked up. Due to those items left behind on the inventory that were not taken, as they were informed to do; I had to incur more moving fees of over $650 and agreed to pay your team $1000 additional the night of move to have all items moved but a few totes. There was a lot more than a few totes and items were not taken that I requested and questioned the team.
Again, no response to the signing of the documents were I should have been filling out. I was not able to stay at my new place for a week because I had nothing to live there. I would not have done that to myself. It put my dogs and I out of our new home for a week and without items needs that I was guaranteed delivered same day. I would never have hired a mover if there was a spread. I would have bought a uhaul, like I had to do to get my remaining items and delivered directly to my new place. I incurred so much stress and time in this moving situation, due to unlimited moving and storage, when this was already very hard move with a broken engagement and losing family. I'm asking for reimbursement of the additional amount they required the night of move, of $1000 to move all they stated and that they did not do.
Yes, they delivered that following Friday a week later and I was present and approved the items delivered. I did not approve them leaving the night of move & was told it would all be taken care of that next morning and those remaining items would be picked up and scheduled a new move in for those. That didn't happen and the corporate office wouldn't do, as ****** stated.

EMPIRE Moving hired Unlimited Moving and storage from *********** was given a quote **** first. The cheapest of all quotes that I shop. That was a trick so I get stuck with them. So I called to add packing. I thought it was already added. But the lady who I spoke to no longer working at the company. So I added another $1400. Then when the movers came to my house late 12:30pm Sunday. Instead Saturday 9am. Then at 8:30 pm The guy name ******* or ****** from unlimited Moving company told me that I am over my limit. The Van was only half filled. He charged me from $8200 to $20,000!!!!! He charge me additional weight for my adjustable bed for $500 and dinning table. I was not told that there are extra charges for those even I told the sales person about ehat type of bed I Have. He told us If we give him $**** under the table tip he will lower to ******. I need to get cash **** at 8:30pm good thing we have $400 cash on hand because Atm can not dispense **** in 1 day. He said do not tell there supervisor that I gave $****. They want cash , he said so there is no trace at all or else I will be in trouble. I am tired it was late I want them to finished. I was mad because after giving $**** he promised to take all my things. He didn't he said can not fit. I have a proof that it's still can fit. I took pictures of my things in the van. Customer booked with Empire ********************** who is a Broker. Unlimited is one of their carriers.
Original move from ** to ** consisted of moving a total of 100 items at a cost of $10,945.11.
On move day, after a walk thorough , our driver advised the customer that there are a substantial more items to be moved. He presented to her a new revision with a new cost, which she read, signed and approved.
We ended up picking up a total of 177 items which resulted in more space to haul.
Please see attached original quote from Empire Moving and filed paperwork signed by customer.
Unfortunately since customer elected to add more services/items and was presented with the new charges and approved it we don't see why there should be an adjustment.

They packed my things half of the box only and not wrap some things. If only I can send more pictures in here I will attached. Asked your Leader if he asked $1000 tip under the table. If he will deny. I have friends can proved that he received money at 8:30pm and told us he will take all but he said no space in the truck. I attchached the pictures there still have space but he put their wrapping materials and causing space. He also put numbers in small items and put inside a big box with number . That's double dipping. To make it more numbers used. I have alot things listed on the paper I electronic sign what to bring but he didn't make it because he is said no space.Two men a truck gice.me a quote of $7,301 with packing and everything. How come it was a big jump of price when he charged me more in the middle of the packing at night 8:00pm and telling us they need more money when they put all my things inside the truck.

$1000 your lead mover demand tips from your movers that we should only give him cash so there will be no Trace. Even the truck was only filled half and increase the charges. He asked after putting things half way at 8:30pm.
$2000 worth of my things that didnt make it to the truck because he said it was full. If you can see the picture I sent. There are still space for my dresser, 2 bikes, piano, computer table. Computer chair, tools and tool chest of my husband. Curio cabinets. The boxes were not filled, attached pictures. They only put half in the boxes and there were boxes empty and they put ticket. Small things with tickets and put inside another box with ticket. So they are cheating with tickets to show that we use alot of tickets. Just to take up space. Your movers are not honest.

Unlimited Moving overcharged us for our move by changing the cost of service after loading our goods on the truck. They refuse to refund us or engage in arbitration over the issue.Our original binding estimate and Bill of Lading was for **** cubic feet of goods. At pick up on 8/23/23, we were told that our belongings took **** cubic feet on the truck and the movers had my husband sign a new Bill of Lading for **** cubic feet. This added $3,805 (842 cubic feet @ $4/cubic foot plus 13% fuel surcharge) to our move cost. In trying to understand the discrepancy, we confirmed that **** cubic feet of goods were not actually moved, instead, only **** cubic feet of goods were moved. This is supported in 3 ways:1) The truck picking up our goods was a 26ft Budget Moving Truck. Per the Budget website and their commercial rental customer service team, these trucks hold under **** cubic feet. Unlimited was physically not able to move **** cubic feet in the truck used.2) Per a reconciliation of the cubic footage of every item on the mover's inventory, only **** cubic feet of goods were moved. The original estimate was for 139 items and 140 items were moved.3) Our goods only took up **** cubic feet on the semi that delivered them (per the gridlines on the semi)Supporting documents:AAAAMove Inventory cubic footage - Detailed listing of each item on the moving inventory, with cubic footage showing that **** cubic feet of goods were moved AAAAAAAAA.pdf - move paperwork including 8/17 estimate for **** cubic feet, revised bill of lading for **** cubic feet, detailed move inventory Photos of the semi with our belongings and the grid lines. You can never get them on the phone and the reviews online for them are horrible! They need to be shut down! I am on the verge of a complete lost of all my goods. I am writing to file an official complaint against ******************************************* regarding the mishandling of my mothers move from ******** to *******.Her things were picked up on June 1, 2023. I was told that they would be delivered within 5 15 days. I was never told that they would be delivered 5 15 days from the date that Unlimited received them at their warehouse in the Chicago land area. I was informed of this after the fact and her things were already loaded and in transit.My mother was moving from an assisted living facility in MO to another assisted living facility in ** near me, I also had an out-of-the-country trip planned which put even more stress on the situation of getting her things to ** and organized in a timely manner.Each and every time I would call and speak to the customer service representative, I was told the same story; that they were very far behind and did not have enough trucks. I would be told different timelines each time and each time they would not be met.Once they finally came up with a delivery date, I was told that I would receive a partial refund for the inconvenience and the fact that they were out of contract. I have not seen anything, nor have they returned any correspondence.The items arrived on July 6, 2023. There were missing pieces of her bed, I was unable to put her headboard together. The bed frame is missing, so I had to purchase a new one. Her wheeled ****** was damaged and unable to be any longer, again a new one had to be purchased. There is also a broken leg to an antique cabinet.A settlement was made by ********************* in this matter and ******************************************* was to pay me $530 in damages.
