Mutual is sorry to learn of your complaint and has completed its investigation. You visited a 3rd party lead provider website and provided consent for a lender to contact you. The lead was forwarded to us, which prompted the text message noted in your complaint. There is no indication that the text was unauthorized or unsolicited. As soon as Mutual received notice of your complaint it placed you on its do not call list. We hope this resolves your complaint to your satisfaction.Review fromcharles s

1 star84 days of absolute pain and suffering. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. The initial sales pitch is enticing and for me would be an excellent alternative. I applied for a FHA HECM reverse. Beware that what they start with is not what you will get at closing. First they say the interest rate is based on the 10yr treasury, then they say the 1yr treasury, but regardless they add at least 450 basis points. In my case the interest rate was 8.9% adjustable EVERY MONTH. Their goal is to **** as much equity into closing as they possibly can. The closing costs are OUTRAGEOUS. The title company they used was Capital Title which I called Chaos Title. Every day was a new calamity, every single day. Two appraisals required. They wanted to set aside almost $10,000 to finish my deck when all the materials were already here, it had just been too hot to finish. Once we got close to closing, they laid the bombshell out. They restructured the whole thing and wanted me to bring cash to closing. I firmly believed they made this chaos driven so that they could scam me at the end. They consumed $500,000 of equity in just 10 years.Review fromPorsha B

If there was a way to leave 0 stars then I would. I worked with ************************* for my cash-out refinance. If YOU CAN CHOOSE ANOTHER LENDER THEN DO SO! I was told that I would have two months of no mortgage payments. Now 3 months later and I am making my first payment to my new mortgage company (since they sold my loan to another company) and I receive a letter from Mutual of Omaha that I owe 2 months payments. Which was completely opposite of what I was told for the entire month we were doing the loan process. I honestly feel as though ************************* and his supervisor were only telling me what I wanted to hear just to get my loan. He specifically told me numerous times that I would not have 2 months worth of payments and that amount could be saved to add more to the overall amount of money that I would receive from the cash out portion. I spoke with customer service the beginning of September and the representative told me she saw where I didnt have the two payments. A week later I get another phone call that I do owe. I spoke with ****** and now he telling me that the first *skipped payment* was for ***** We closed on the loan the last day of the month and I had already made a payment to my original loan company the first of the month so no June payment should have been due if it was already paid. He also said he told me not to make the payments and thats what he usually recommends when he definitely told me the complete opposite. I practically begged him to go and pull the audio recordings of our phone call and if he could prove he did not tell me what I know he did then I would give him the amount of my mortgage payment but of course he couldnt find those. He said I signed the document showing the due date. Which sure I shouldve paid closer attention to the *********************************************************************************** for a whole month. He LIED the entire time and still is now. He was misleading and I would never work with him again.Mutual of Omaha Mortgage

Mutual of Omaha Mortgage received your complaint and completed its investigation. Your loan officer correctly explained that your June payment would be included in your payoff statement and that the next payment wasn't due until August 1. There is no indication that he stated that you could skip two mortgage payments or that the loan officer was dishonest regarding your payments. The loan officer went over your closing documents, which shows that your first regular payment was due on August 1. We are sorry to learn of your frustration with the loan process and hope this response resolves your complaint to your satisfaction.Review fromCrystal M

Very high pressure and dirty sales tactics. I told them I was shopping around and just wanted a loan estimate. They did a full application which made it very difficult to move forward with a different lender. When I let the agent I was working with know I was not moving forward with him he became very unprofessional and basically said I wasted his time. Had to escalate within the company to be able to get their application pulled so I could move forward with my chosen lender.Mutual of Omaha Mortgage

Unfortunately, we need to obtain application documentation prior to issuing a Loan Estimate. This is standard procedure within the industry. MMI reviewed the phone message referred to in your complaint. He does express some frustration regarding your decision to continue the process with another lender, but the overall tone of the message was not unprofessional. At the end of the message, he states that he appreciated the opportunity to earn your business and wishes you the best. As part of the loan process, your file was assigned a case number, which had to be transferred to your new lender. A review of the file demonstrates that Mutual of Omaha Mortgage quickly transferred your loan to your new lender upon receiving your request. We're sorry to learn of your frustration with the loan process and hope this response resolves your complaint to your satisfaction.Review fromDakotah G

I have held my tongue for now 7 months since I did my refinance with Mutual of Omaha Mortgage. I was working with ***** ------- through my process and at times my calls were not returned and at the closing of my refinance my creditors were to be paid directly and instead they sent me checks in the mail to pay them myself and by the time I got them all satisfied I also owed additional money for interest which came out of my pocket. I called and I was ignored I sent text I was ignored. I was so upset by this treatment but I paid it anyway. I made it a point to pay them directly and was assured that would happen, it did not. I was told my mortgage would be qualified for a rate reduction after 6 months without having to refinance, wow ok it would drop my payment I believed it, I find out recently speaking to another employee that is not possible without doing another refinance. Wow ok I recently sent a text to Faith and she responded fast and said ok let me check into that. I never heard back and within two weeks I sent two more text messages and no response. My last text was me stating I don't like being ignored and I will find another person to speak with and I did. Since the rates are high now I will just have to wait, that's ok. My last refinance cost me a lot of money and I could have gotten this done for considerably less but I had trust issues so I went with this. The level of service I received was less than adequate and I have never been so disappointed. I am not sure if I will let this company do this for me again I feel like I was taken advantage of.Mutual of Omaha Mortgage

Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, Inc. ("MMI") received your complaint and completed its investigation. Your loan officer explained that the checks would be mailed to you for submission to your creditors and you signed a disclosure on which you provided your address as the mailing address for the checks. It appears that some of your creditors did not cash the checks in a timely manner, which resulted in some delays and caused the issues referenced in your complaint. When MMI learned of your frustration with the check situation, it immediately reached out to you to help you resolve the matter. There does not appear to an issue with the level of communication that was provided during the loan process. Your loan process began in mid-September and concluded in late October, which is a reasonable timeframe for your loan product. The streamline refinance option you refer to in your complaint was a possibility; however, it is dictated by the market, and unfortunately, rates have increased since your transaction. It appears that MMI was able to provide you with a very competitive rate when it closed your loan. MMI is sorry to learn of your frustration with the loan process and hopes this response resolves your complaint to your satisfaction.Review fromKyle C

Applied for a home loan with Mutual of Omaha Mortgage. They did a hard check on my credit rather than a soft check which was asked, then denied me without any notification because I didn't have enough time with my current company. Was eagerly waiting to hear back from them only to have to reach out to them to find this out. No where was this mentioned in the process of applying for them. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhereMutual of Omaha Mortgage

I wouldn't do business with this company, they get your information, sign all these documents, they run your credit tell you are approve, have someone to come out to appraise your home, then you don't hear from them for weeks. You call and text *************** " his reply can I can call you back I have another caller on line" His call back is weeks later. You go check out the account the set up for , to find its been taken down. That you have been denied this is after I paid for appraisal. This company is SHADY and MISLEADING to their customer.Mutual of Omaha Mortgage

I would not ever go through them to get a loan. When I check into getting a reverse mortgage loan I plainly told them I did not want them to check my credit cause I was just wanting information about it . Of course they want all your information just so they can see what they r looking at. I told them again I do not want my credit check. The woman said she would not do it but all she was goin to do was to look and see how much my house would bring and what all she was looking at and then she would give me a call back and let me know if it was a good ideal for me to do it. Well guess what the next time I heard from them they had check my credit. I call them that day the guy said he would let me talk to the person that was over it. The guy wasn’t taking calls that day and I left a message on his answering machine to call me and he never call. The reason I didn’t want my credit check was because every time they check your credit your score goes down. Which just a couple weeks before that I had went and look for a vehicle.and also had applied for credit cards in December. I knew that those two things had brought my score down. Also the lady said they don’t go by your score but I know that has a lot to do with the financial part. I was very disappointed that they went behind me and my wishes not to run my credit.Mutual of Omaha Mortgage
