    I dropped my grandsons car off for repair on April 15, I received a quote about a week later for about $2400 to replace a catalytic converter, I said that was too much, they said they would try to find a lower cost part and get back to me. A week later on April 29 I received a phone call with a verbal quote of $1508 which I approved and gave them a $754.00 deposit for the work. I understood that he told me that it would take about a week to get the part from his supplier, he is now saying that he told me two weeks. During the week of May 12 I was told that they received the wrong part because our vin number was incorrect the converter was for a 2L engine not a 1.8 L which is in the **** A4. When they received the replacement converter I was informed that the car should be ready May 23 which was not met, and was told everyday that week that it would be done tomorrow. I was told that the converter was installed but the car was too loud and they had to rework it. I stopped by the shop in ******* where the car was on May 30 and ask about the ****, the car was on the rack but no one was working on it. ***** the mechanic was working on someones elses car that had gotten bad gas from Fuel Mart the night before. He gave me his phone number and told me to follow up directly with he was going to work on the **** himself and was going to stay late and work on it. I received a call from him around 7:30 pm when he told me he broke off a bolt and had to drill and tap it to install a new one. I checked back with him on June 2 and he told me that he found additional problems and he would fix them at no charge because the car has need in the shop now for 7 weeks. I tried to follow up with him by phone and also by stopping by the shop the rest of the week but no one was there. On Friday June 6 I tried to contact the office but got voice mail. I received a text saying I would receive a discount for 11 days, this has now been withdrawn because of the complaint with BBB.

    We received the **** a4 back with the new Catholic Converter installed last Thursday, The car is running much better now. He also discounted my invoice because of the delays in getting the job done.
