My roof was done on someone else's house at first so it delayed mine. The communication is awful and can't find anyone to contact because they either quit or we're let go. They still owe me the remaining amount of money from my claim. I've contacted them multiple times with no avail. The roof is subpar.Initial Complaint

We contacted Hagel Claims Hometown Public Adjusters regarding hail damage to a roof based on of a referral to them. On 05/29/2023, following a meeting in person multiple times with an adjuster and construction representative from *** ************ ******** *** ***** ***********, we entered into a contract with them and Hagel Claims Adjusters in the amount of $19,471.64. The spring and summer of 2023 came and went without any action by the fall of 2023. We contacted Hagel Claims and *** ************ who both told us that they were extremely busy and eventually we were told we would not receive services by the end of the year due to their volume and it becoming too cold for the shingle warranty. The following spring of 2024 we began contacting these two entities regarding a timeline of when we would see our roof repaired. We were continuously told that we were at the top of the list for completion. As time went on, we received no updates for service. As of late spring/early summer of 2024 our calls to ************ began to go to voicemail and were never returned. When we called corporate headquarters at ************, we found the line had been then disconnected. Emails to ************************** were not responded to. Eventually the calls that were getting through to voicemails began to provide a message that the mailbox was full and not able to receive messages. I began calling the *** ************ representative who visited us in person, *** ****, directly at *********** *** ************************** without response. We have not been able to speak to anyone since June of 2024 and feel that our payment, time and suffering, and future legal fees should be returned and paid to us. It should be noted that Hagel Claims Hometown Adjusters, and *** ************ LLC ***** *********** share a mutual address and "corporate headquarters" phone number and calls to both companies through four different phone lines went to the same voicemail box.Initial Complaint

Claim for my roof was put in on May 2nd 2023 , cashed the insurance check on 3/21/24 , it's now been 7 months later , he has made no effort to reroof my home , I have since then have more roof damage , I have made several attempts to contact him to resolve this issue and either get my money back , he has refused to give me my money back , and has told me for 7 months straight he will be there next week to do my roof next week has come and gone it's now going into winter , and 7 months later , I have not seen any materials or my money back and no attempts to even start my roof.Initial Complaint

I will keep this short. Hagel Claims cashed our insurance check of more than 10,000 last year and hasn't done any work in the contract for which the check was issued. Police and States attorney will now be involved. I have emailed repeatedly for them to return our full amount, and it has been ignored. Apparently, this has happened numerous times and the state of Illinois has done nothing to protect citizens from this business. I have contacted all Illinois Agencies including Attorney General and to this date nothing has been done. Governor how is this possible? Our insurance premiums have gone up 50% because of this and apparently these increases were approved by the Illinois Dep of Insurance Regulations according to ****** Insurance. Basically, a subsidiary of ******* ******. There's nothing being done to protect senior citizens from this type of businesses that reside in Illinois!Initial Complaint

I entered into a contract with Hagel Claims and *** ************ to have my roof replaced through ***** **** **** It has been more than a year and my roof had not been replaced and hagel claims will not even give me a date when the work will be done. They finally answered a call from me sometime in august and was told I would get an email and that still has not happen

June of 2023 I signed a contract to have several roofs replaced by Hagel Claims/*** *******. (***** ** **********) from Morton, Illinois *** **** ********* ****** ***** ** ******* ******** *****. After several months of broken promises, I paid $84, 481.46 to have the work completed. ***** Promised to start the roofing project the following week. 6/20/2024 and be finished by July 12, 2024. After several emails, and voice messages, I now find that the phones have been disconnected at the above address and have had zero communication from ***** **********. I have filed a police report with the ****** Police Department, and I also spoke with the ****** Police Department, who did a check of the business and found no one present during normal business hours on August 26, 2024. I would like for ***** to either perform the work as I contracted, or refund my $84, 481.46 in full. The State of Illinois issued a license for Hagel Claims, *** **********. Roofing license**********. I have attached the contract for one property, I have eleven properties and 11 individual contracts. We agreed to have them last summer to replace our roof because we had hail damage. We signed all the paperwork and received a check from my insurance company and was cashed by them in September 2023. Originally we were supposed to have our roof replaced in October 2023. They have not responded for the last 3 months. Now their voicemail is full and we can't leave a message any longer.

Follow a hail storm in summer 2023, Hagel Claims sent representatives door to door in our neighborhood with drone surveillance of roof damage. It was determined that we had hail damage that would likely be covered by insurance. They offered to file for us. A representative returned to take care of a neighbors roof, and told us our claim was denied by our insurance. This year we followed up with our insurance intending to change companies due to the failure to cover the hail damage, and found out that our insurance company paid $3000 to Hagel Claims, which they cashed in December 2023. No follow up with us was completed, they did not proceed with attempting to get the full roof covered, nor provide us any of the insurance reimbursement. Our insurance has increased, and we are struggling to be covered by other insurance companies because it looks as if we were paid for but did not repair our roof. Hagel Claims is no longer returning emails or phone calls, and has not provided the reimbursement ($3000 less the 10% filing fee).Initial Complaint

Hagel Claims is a public insurance adjuster. They work with a related construction company by the name of *** ************ ********* ***. They identified damage to the roof on our home and submitted a claim to our insurance company about repairing the roof. According to our insurance company they received a check in the amount of $22,537.78 and cashed it on October 17, 2023. The company has broken several promises to complete the work on our house. On July 12, 2024 I emailed the company and asked for evidence from them that they still had the funds that they had received from my insurance company. I have received no response to this request. I would like your assistance in getting these funds returned. Thank you.
