I applied for medical assistance with Abbvie for Linzess in 2022 and was approved to receive the medication for free. I have re applied back in November 2022 and filled out the correct application for 2023 year. My provider, ******************** in ************ **, faxed over the application to Abbvie back in November. Then I received a letter from Abbvie stating information was missing on the application. I know the information was on the application because I filled it out. I notified Digestive Healthcare on November 22, 2022 and asked them the information was missing. Then called me and said all the information was filled out correctly and they would send it over again. I called and left a call back message a week ago, and no response. It is now Jan 9, 2023 and I have yet to hear back from Abbvie. Again, I contacted Digestive Healthcare to see if they could call them directly, they were on hold for over an hour. I am currently on hold with them as we speak, and I have been waiting for 45 minutes to get answers. This is very unprofessional and their communication with patients is uncalled for!! I would appreciate an answer!!Business Response

I received Lumigan Eye drops in October. Only got 1 bottle. My doctor doubled dose. Wrong prescription filled. Called, and they said they made *********** would receive another bottle. Never did. I am eligible for refill on December 12. Called & auto. system says I was not eligible. Tried to talk to patient counsellor, could never get through. Wait time 20 min. Was on hold for 45 to 1 hour on Dec 12,13,14,and 15. I tried to talk to pharmacy and other sections, and no one could help me. I need these drops for glaucoma. I'm on a fixed income, and have had nothing but a headache. They need to get a better system, where you can leave message. ******** will not pay for drops, while on this program. They say they are program to help you. I was so upset, could cause people to have heart attack. Issue not resolved. They should not be allowed to do this.Initial Complaint

I am a member of the Abbvie patient assistance program. I was so grateful to be approved because medication can be so expensive, however, that has taken a turn for me the past month. I called in the beginning of November for my refill I was told it was processed and I would receive it soon. I received an email stating it was shipped out 11/15/22, I received that email about 10 times over the course of the next two weeks but the medication never arrived. The emails that had broken links for tracking that did not work. When I finally figured out that I can get the tracking information through their automated phone line, I looked it up to find that the package has not moved in about 10 days. I called Abbvie l, got a representative on the line who put me on hold and spoke with the supervisor and according to her was shipping out a new prescription and ******* it since now I was on my last few pills. That was 11/29/22, today is 12/6/22 and not only have I not received the medication but the tracking information states that it was just received by **** on 12/4/22 and will be delayed on the other side of the country. I called in my refill in the beginning of November, I had more than a month worth of medication left. I did this purposely to allow time for delays with shipping and processing. I am now on my last five days of medication, having called numerous times, and will still seemingly end up with no medicine waiting for my delivery. the so-called rush shipping that I was promised clearly a lie. Now I will be sick for who knows how long waiting for my medicine to arrive. What a disgrace, to put human lives on the line like this. I was approved through their prescription assistance program for a medicine my insurance will not cover. The approval was back in March. I pay every month for this service and they have yet to send ANY medicine. I'm due for 6 months worth now that I've paid for. I have no meds and no money back now. They send me emails and texts telling me I'm approved and the medicine is coming. When it never arrives and I call back, I'm given a royal runaround that they haven't received some paperwork or their pharmacist didn't like the way the prescription was written. My doc has written & sent it 6 times in 6 different ways now since March. I'm still left with nothing. I think they actually don't have an assistance program and this is way to bilk people out of money without them having to send a product.Initial Complaint

On September 10, 2021 I received coolsculpting at *********** in **************** who told me Abbvie/Allergan would stand by their product if anything went wrong. At my appointment I had before photos taken. At my follow up several months later I had after photos taken. Despite nothing above nominal weight fluctuations, the photos verify that there was zero change. The service was entirely ineffective. I have been trying to work with Abbvie/Allergan privately, but after lengthy periods between responses, they abruptly just shut my case. I just want my money back. I received cool sculpting procedures which abbvie owns. The procedures were supposed to rid my stomach of fat as advertised but instead doubled the hard resistant fat around my stomach and sides which now is numb and bulging. The plastic surgeons office reimbursed my cost of $4,500. But now, after seeking information that will resolve the issue, I need corrective procedures called VASER LIPOSUCTION and I'm seeking abbvie and Allergan to pay for it as they're falsely advertised procedures caused the damage.Initial Complaint

I have followed all their requests and got one shipment. Doc changed dosage, I mailed it in. Never heard from them, no pills. I called and they said the scan was not legible. I said did u rescan. No. What happened to the paper rx? I don't know. It might be in the mailroom. Did u try to get it back to rescan it? No. Why not? Silence. Can I speak to a manager? They're all in meetings. Can I have their voicemail? No, their phones are turned off for meetings. Did it cross anyone's mind to call me? No. Please fax my doctor. Ok. Bye. Dumb as rocks. I am writing this complaint against ABbvie pursuant to their medication assistance program. I have applied for assistance from ***** for coverage of the treatment for endometriosis.I applied and was given wrong information my a ***** representative. I followed the directions I received from the Abbvie representative and was denied assistance due to a change in their procedure. As a result I am on the hook for $500, which is the exact amount of assistance I requested and the exact amount of assistance I have received in the past. Humira a prescription from Abbvie has a patient assistance program where they reimburse you after you pay the pharmacy. They state that they will pay you within 3-5 business days. I submitted the documentation requested by Abbvie, which included the receiptof the $6,413.83 paid for their medication via their website on 7/14/2022 (Confirmation # ******). I am going on 2 weeks with no reimbursement and my credit card **** is due.When I call I am placed on hold on 30 minutes to 1 hour and no one is able to give me a status update.Initial Complaint

After following the Botox patient saving program guidelines perfectly, I submitted my documents to Allargan for reimbursement via their patient saving program. It was denied. I explained to the Allargan customer representative that I followed the instructions to ***, and was told in addition to the receipt proving I paid out of pocket to ******* for the Botox, the *** from UnitedHealth denying the claim, a copy of my copay from my neurologist, and lastly the *** from UnitedHealth they received and denied coverage, MORE proof was needed! Totally unreasonable. I now have to contact UnitedHealth to get another *** showing the exact details of the proceedure performed ( even though this is BOTOX. The only proceedure is injection). I was also told I need to send my neurologist Tax ID number although Allergan could easily obtain this information. The patient saving program of Allergan is a total joke. They will make you jump through hoops and string you string you along until you eventually either run out of time or become so frustrated you give up.
