It has been one year after receiving a bill for $650.00 for what I was told was a usage of 40,000 gallons in a one week time span due to “probably filling up my swimming pool” (I did not have one) or a “leaking toilet” (my toilets are newish). Lived here since 2013 and the amount owed has always ranged in the usual 135.00 per month, which is insane for one person who is rarely home and is frugal with water usage. They later came to my home (only because I disputed the amount) to take the meter that they placed in my home within the previous year or two, to have it tested. They later informed me that the water meter was perfectly fine and that I owed them the full amount. I have therefore been unwillingly making payments for a year. Now, after paying off that bill, I have received phone calls and a notice on my door threatening that my water service will be shut off if I don’t call them to have them come to replace my meter. Today I received a letter stating “ your water meter is either no longer registering- is broken, aged or has over 1,000,000 gallons usage and needs to be replaced”. Coincidence!?!!

This company is deceitful and a pack of liars. Their only concern is money. Their prices are outrageous. We had a sewer back up in our home and the company told us to have someone come and clean it up and they would take care of the expense. After the job was done they then told us that the only way they would pay it is if we disconnected the ejection pump in our yard. So then we cut power to the pump but then they said it wasn’t good enough and told me that I needed to jump in this pit and do plumbing work. Now I am a fully disabled retired veteran. After I explained to them that I am not a plumber they said that installing caps and measuring and cutting pipes is not that technical. They have zero integrity and do not deserve to be in business.

This water company is HORRIBLE! for starters we can’t even drink or use the water they provide. It smells and taste like chemicals to the point it makes our food taste bad. My neighbor on one side can’t even bathe her child in it because it’s making her skin break out. The neighbors on the other side of me came home to their water being shut off, they paid their bill so they called the water company just to find out that they allowed a complete stranger that doesn’t even live in the home to put their name on the water and shut it off. The amount of money we pay this place monthly is between 200-300 dollars!!!! They claim we use almost 180 gallons of water a day. There is no way! There are days where I don’t even use the water. No one is home for most of the day. I’m not the only one in the neighborhood paying these outrageous fees for water we can’t even use or don’t use. This place needs to be looked into. People can’t afford the ridiculous SCAMS anymore!

I own a townhouse in the ******** that I rent out. The renter left and asked for the water to be turned off. The agent from Prairie Path Water Company called me (renter provided my number) and asked me if he should turn it off. I said no - and he said ok.
The renter left April 21st and when I went into the TH - the water was off. I called the business and they said that for me to turn it back on it was a STATE LAW that I had to be there.
First of all - there is NO STATE LAW that I have to be there since I already had an account there it should be an easy fix to turn it back on.
SO i requested a manager - who told me that either I am there or the water does not get turned on - I said that was unacceptable and then she HUNG UP ON ME.
What kind of company is this?
