My son was locked out of his car today. He called me but I was at work and as a OR nurse I didnt have my phone. He called a locksmith via locksmith directory online. The website advertises that a car lock out rate could be $48-230 dollars. When I clicked on the car lock out section it said daytime normal business hours which it was Friday at 3:30pm anywhere from ****** depending on needed keys etc. The locksmith only used a wedge/hook tool and he stayed approximately 3 min. He charged my son $340, my son didnt have more than $250 in his bank account so he used that and his friend gave $50 in cash and charged $40 on his capita one card. This is an excessive amount not advertised price and these boys are 17 and 20 by themselves and unfamiliar with this situation, when they were shocked by price and said can you wait and speak with my parent the locksmith demanded payment now and asked for cash first, no receipt was given and the inexperienced boys didnt ask for a receipt, we do however have screen shots and documentation of $250 deduction in bank account and charge to credit card for $40 ( cash $50 no documentation). When I got home and heard about the events I called locksmith directory and filed a complaint. I submitted documentation to a link they sent of bank charge and credit card charge unable to show cash paid. I was told I would hear back right away and nobody returned my call. We called my sons bank but charge is still pending so we have to wait for it to go through before we can refute the charge. I have again called and left a message. I am hoping that we can resolve this situation and be charged the appropriate amount of $48-60 for a 3 min service to unlock the door, and receive a refund of the excessive charge of $340-48/60 to equal a refund of $280-292.00 total please

The date of the service was april 27, My keys got locked inside the car and it has happened to me before a company called pop a lock in ******* charges 80 dollars and I contacted another company thats says its between 80 dollars and 150 depending the service, this company that shows first on ****** called locksmith directory is known to scam people with a shady tactic that says their service is 28 dollars then it says a lockout is between 48 and 230 dollars, all the complains say they charged them 230 dollars plus for a basic service, so they never charge 48 dollars for a basic service, they will always charge 230$ , I called the guy and they said they were gonna arrive in 30 minutes, 45 minutes later I call again then the guy says it will be 1 hour, i waited almost 2 hours, the guy opened the car in 1 minute, its a very simple procedure, then proceeds to charge me 220 dollars for waiting 2 hours when they said 30 minutes and for the most basic service they had ( should have been around 48 dollars like on their website) as I said I was charged 80 dollars for the a better service like 4 months ago and this company overcharged me almost 3 time the original price, a total scam like in all of their reviews, please help me get a refund and put this company in jail for scamming people
