      Towing Claim: Called # on the website. Katie told me to send an email to the call center. I asked if I needed to fill out a claim form and she said, no, just send an email. Sent an email on June 12.
      As of June 19 no response.
      Called back and talked to Katie saying I had not received any confirmation. She asked for a claim #, which I was never given. She then said that the people I needed to talk to are in a meeting". (who sends closes their claims dept for a meeting). When called. back the person Katie did not have any of the info previously reviewed and began the process all over. She transferred me to the claims dept, who was able to find my email, but said they don't provide confirmation or claim numbers, they just transfer the claim to an outside agency. Am ok with the outside agency but Pekin Ins should acknowledge my claim and let me know what's going on. After spending a couple of hours on this I have yet to be able to actually talk to someone about the claim. So much for trying to support local businesses.

      My homeowners insurance with them, I had a claim for a leak underneath the sink the adjuster sent a company to take care of the mold. They removed the kitchen cabinets and part of the flooring. The estimate to fix everything back was around $28,000 and the adjuster called me this morning saying that they’re only paying me 10,000. huge difference with no explanation and seems like you don’t care.

      Pekin's homeowner's claims department headed by Tom M*****, and rep Jessica R***** are preforming neglectful practices that ultimately are designed to DECLINE covered disasters that are covered under the policy. They will not answer any questions, no call back, give no instructions. They will NOT come to your home to perform they jobs related the claim. Then WHEN you send your pictures of the claim items, they decline the entire claim when they CLEARLY see damages in property; and then will cancel ALL policies upon its renewal. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE CO, NOT WORTH IT!!!! THE CLAIM SATIFICATION IS HORRIBLE! NOT CONCERNED NOT CARE! PEKIN CLAIMS DEPARTMENT IS THE WORST!

      Hello,
      My name is ****** *****. I have both Home/tenant & Auto policies with Pekin since 7/1/2021. I pay on-time with a automatic payment out of my banking. After record flooding in our area of ********; our home flooded 2/12 feet of sewage water in our lower level on Friday March 31st. Because sewerage water had come up 2 feet that surrounded our water heater, furnace, electronic etc resulted in a dangerous/hazard conditions that prevented Us to take immediate pictures of damage items (while in the water). Instead, we waited until the water receded and proceeded to take pictures of damage items but we are no photographers, or insurance photographers. After contacting our insurance company: Pekin insurance after hours line on Saturday 04/01/2023. On Tuesday; I finally received and email from Jessica R****** of Pekins claim's department( see below email thread between myself and Tom M***** Claim manager and Jessica R*****). with an attachment to list damage items and asked for dates, value and proof of damaged items. I call and requested for a Rep from Pekin insurance to come to our home to give us instructions on what pictures they need and to survey our damages, then inform US what is covered or not. I finally spoke with Jessica R***** on Thursday April 7th and see only what to know if our "snow blower" that is in one of the pictures could be repair and not replaced. I told her we had dry ourselves out and ******** *********** was removing 2/ 1/2 feet of wall due to sewage damages to the wall and we were unable to get snow blower to repair shop, but we offer for her or any Rep from Pekin to come out to survey and inform Us was could be covered; and MAYBE to offer their care for our lost. On that call, Pekin's Rep. Jessica stated that she did not need anything else from Us and someone would be reaching out to Us. On Monday, April 17th, I call and email Jessica to get a follow up regarding our claim; and was informed that Jessica is on vacation and will be gone for a week. I began communication with Tom M***** the claims manager, who immediate begins to questions the damage items on the list. I was confused because, all soiled clothing items was finally thrown out AFTER keeping them on site for a week for their inspection but they never advised properly what was needed until Mr. M***** got on the phone one week and a half later! Pekin claim Reps: Mrs Jessica, & Mr M*****, NEVER apologized as our Insurance company, Reps; regarding our loss, not concern at all. Tom M***** added insult to injury by asking Me " should we just cut a check to you". I was like, IF Pekin Insurance Co. did not want to cover Us in a sewage/back up loss, then they should have removed it for our policy! Tom M***** proceed to tell me that an outside Investigator would contact us and "the investigators" would come out to "see" and report damages. The outside rep came to our home and interview Me for 3 1/2 hours. He saw were ******** *********** fix the water damages. and a week later I get a denial letter from the claim department; stating they need proof purchase for my computer equipment.
      This is the worst, my poor husband, keeps stating how much he miss his leaf blower, LOL! I believe it was to least expensive item on list. You mean to tell Us after 2 1/2 of KNOW FLOODED SWERAGE BACK UP WATER in our lower level, Pekin Insurance did not cover US for nothing????? But May's premium still was drafting out of our banking account ALONG WITH: I received a NON-RENEWAL/ termination letter for our Auto (which we NEVER FILED AND CLAIM) AND OUR home policy would NOT be renewed on 7/1/2023.
      I would like to see the RATION OF APPROVED CLAIM vs those denied in a demographic area and ethnicity.
