DON'T USE DRF WATER HEATER SOLUTIONS FOR ANYTHING! DRF apparently has a contract with ******. We looked at the ****** website and indicated an interest in a water heater and installation during January 2025. A sales person from DRF called and we felt that the promises and representations he made were fair, although the price he quoted was way high!DRF apparently hired another plumber some 30 miles from where we live. That plumbing company sent a plumber who claimed to have a bad back and couldn't lift out. He tried, by shaking the old water heater. In doing so, he broke a plumbing pipe and fractured the gas line that goes to the converter box. Then he said he needed to go to Ace Hardware to get some parts, and go to ****** to get a smaller water heater. Before leaving our house. He TURNED ON THE GAS to our old water heater. The gas leaked and we had to call our gas company. The gas company located the gas leak where the plumber had shaken it. The gas company shut off our gas and red tagged our old water heater, saying we could not use the water heater until it was repaired or replaced. We waited the rest of the day for the plumber to return, but he never came back, and did not communicate with us. In the mean time, DRF charged my credit card. We cancelled the DRF order and demanded a full refund. DRF refused several times to refund. They were rude. Finally, they offered a PARTIAL refund, saying that they needed to keep $450 for a service call for the plumber THEY HIRED to come to our house. We declined DRF's offer and again demanded a full refund. WE NEVER GOT A NEW WATER HEATER OR INSTALLATION! After hours on the phone with DRF, ******, ****** Customer Service, the manager of our local ****** store, DRF finally credited my credit card with a PARTIAL refund only. I refuse to pay the approximately $400 that DRF/****** are billing me., and now they are assessing late charges and saying I am now past due!DO NOT USE DRF WATER HEATER SOLUTIONS AND AVOID ******

DRF Water Heating Solutions is a ***** authorized service provider and we do have agreements with licensed plumbing contractors to complete some installations. This helps us serve customers with same- and next-day ********************** heater replacement. We appreciate the customers feedback and welcome this opportunity to respond with clarification on several aspects. This situation was unique in that after draining and disconnecting the existing water heater, the technician was not able to remove it due to the door opening being too narrow (presumably the area was enclosed around the water heater). Initially, the suggested solution was to cut into the drywall to remove the old heater. Then after further troubleshooting, the technician determined that he could remove the old heater, but the new 40 gallon replacement would not fit through the door (new heaters are slightly larger due to increased insulation to meet energy requirements) so a 30 gallon heater was quoted as a replacement option. This was not acceptable to the customer, so the original ********************** heater was reinstalled. The small portion of the customers payment that was not refunded was to cover the cost of the work performed: draining and disconnecting, troubleshooting and trying to remove, and then reinstallation per the customers request.Review fromJo W

This company is a contractor of Lowes and they will use bait and switch tactics to up-sell you a water heater. They up-sell you from a Lowes water heater to a ******** ***** which is a model they don't even service. You should not purchase from them because you might get a refurbished unit that won't work. A repair company had to come to my house to fix my water heater 3 times with two weeks of the install. In the end, the mechanical part of the water heater wasn't for the unit they installed. The unit they installed is also too big for the space. Even though during the up-sell process I was told it would fit. They are scammers and as others have said a terrible, terrible company. For this customers installation, it was necessary to substitute a ******** ***** model due to space available at the installation location. The customer agreed to this change. A courtesy discount was extended, and installation was completed on August 23, 2024. This was a brand-new unit from a factory sealed box; we never install used or refurbished units. When the customer contacted us on September 11, we referred her to ******** ***** as they administer warranty service on their appliances. While we do service ******** ***** units, since ******** ***** holds the warranty, in accordance with their policy and procedures, they dispatched the closest available contracted warranty service provider to correct the situation on September 12.Review fromEugene K

Absolutely terrible company with ******* customer service. They installed a brand new sink and didn't seal it properly, causing leaks on brand new cabinetry. Zero sensitivity to this by this company. After repeated calls to come back out on the day the new leaks happened, we proceeded to get four hours of total runaround. Finally, a supervisor left a voicemail message, which we returned promptly - only to be told he was at lunch and couldn't be reached. Then, at 4:30 p.m. - when he was finally reached after 10 minutes on hold - we were told no plumbers were available to come out in the evening. They offered to put us first the next day and give us a $50 gift card. Laughable service if it wasn't extremely sad. Meanwhile, the sinks still leak on brand new cabinetry. Buyer Beware - RUN!!! Incompetence and Hard Upsell DRF Plumbing uses deception and hard sell 'scare' tactics to increase profit at the customer's expense - a prime example of a high-pressure upsell. I was scared into paying for unnecessary repairs by a gross and deliberate misrepresentation. And now I am kicking myself that I didn't trust my instincts. ****** learned!Upon arrival to install a new hot water heater, the plumber immediately claimed that I needed to spend an additional $1,150 to meet minimum compliance with my Village just to pass the inspection. I was skeptical and asked him three times very clearly and distinctly - "so I will NOT pass inspection unless I spend this additional $1,150"? Each time he confidently and boldly affirmed - incorrectly - that the inspection would FAIL, and I would then be charged an additional $195 for him to come back and rectify (a scare tactic). This was an inaccurate and uninformed statement to capture additional revenue for the plumber and DRF. On inspection by the village, I confirmed that the current configuration, in place for 20+ years, would have absolutely passed inspection. I subsequently confirmed this verbally with the lead inspector for the village - the additional work was NOT NECESSARY to pass inspection.After inquiring about the misguided and uninformed hard sell, DRF **************** delayed answering my questions, instead choosing to deflect and putting the onus on me to prove otherwise. They are ignoring my communications now to avoid further response. So they deliberately refuse to address my concerns by hoping I will go away.DRF Water Heating Solutions

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention after your water heater installation on February 26. We did investigate by interviewing our plumber, reviewing before and after photos of the work and discussing the repair with the city inspector. We stand by our repair as needing to be done and communicated with you by both email and phone. The charges referred to were related to the recirculation pump and rebuild of the recirc line with isolation and purge valves to ensure proper functioning and meet current plumbing code requirements. We pride ourselves on serving clients with honesty and quality. As a state licensed plumbing contractor, we follow all state and local codes for the safety of our customers and their **********************. As we had mentioned, if in your conversations with others you have someone telling you that something improper was done by our organization, please ask them to put their concerns in writing so we can consider their perspective.Review fromMary L

Never use this company! Water heater installers left floor in shamblesMud from shoes, left standing water that would dry in a couple of hours, floor paint destroyed, used two paper towels rather than towels or shop vac to make a path. As explained in the installation contract, mechanical projects can get messy with circumstances we cannot anticipate, so we advise the homeowner to protect their floors, dwelling and personal property during installation. DRF plumbers installed my new toilet when another company wasn't available on my schedule. Every DRF team member I dealt with was professional and kind - ***** and ****** talked me through the process and scheduled my installation, the finance person (***?) called to confirm before charging my credit card, and ******* and ****, the plumbers, installed the new toilet, hauled away the old, and kept my home clean throughout their visit.
