Five star service all around! The plumber arrived right on time, assessed the problem and had it sorted out in no time. Professional, reliable and left the area cleaner than they found it. Highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs.DRF Water Heating Solutions

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! I wish I had read the reviews here first as well, I was charged $3100 dollars for a power vent water heater to be installed, which started with Lowes. DRF will not provide you with a written estimate or breakdown of charges only the "package price" so that they are able to easily over charge you. The current price of the 40 gallon power vent water heater at Lowes is $1200, so labor and installation, haul away, was $1900. I should have thought about it a bit longer and cancelled the job but I did not, shame on me. This company has a **** rating on here and many complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau. DRF got me this time, but they and Lowes never will again, I hope this review will help someone else and save them from overpaying. Find a local plumber in you area and use them instead. This company is a total ripoff!!DRF Water Heating Solutions

Thank you for your feedback. As ****** authorized installer, we utilize licensed plumbers and require that all local codes be closely followed. The package pricing quoted includes the water heater, delivery, installation by a licensed plumbing contractor, and haul-away of the old heater. The installation contract is between you and ******, and you accepted the price quote in advance of work commencing. We do offer a 1 Year Best Value Price Guarantee, so if youre able to send us a lower quote for identical services, we will refund the difference.Review fromReed B

1 starDOES NOT CARE ABOUT REPEAT CUSTOMERS! A week before the ******* flooding in July 2023, I set up an appointment. My guest bathroom was leaking water into the condo below and causing damage. It needed repaired quickly. Waited a week for the appointment. On the night before the appointment I missed a call from DRF. Called back and they said I was still on schedule. The morning of the appointment (A weekday where I took off work!) they cancelled on me. Despite being a repeat customer, having an appointment for a week, and a leak that was causing water damage, apparently I wasnt as important as the profitable flood customers. They said I couldnt have an appointment for another 3 weeks. Manager talked to the Bosses and said it was coming from the top.If you want a company who doesnt care about repeat business, doesnt give a c*** (pun intended) about their customers, or keeping their word or appointments, is only interested in chasing the bigger buck, then go to this crappy place. WILL NEVER CALL BACK AGAIN and I WILL TELL OTHERS!Review fromRicky P

Went through Lowes for a water heater replacement, DRF apparently is the contractors they go through. Got my quote of $2,117.51 to replace my old water heater from **** as it just doesn't give hot water like it used to anymore. Was scheduled today, 6/5/2023, and told I would get 3 phone calls; 1 to confirm my appointment today, 1 from tech to give an estimated arrival time, 1 last call from tech for they are 30 minutes away and heading my direction. I had to call them directly twice, first time got no answer regarding if I'm even verified on the appointment book today. The second time they still had no new information for me but did inform I was scheduled. Told them I'll give them 15 minutes to find out an approximate time because if I'm spending $2,117.51 I expect communication and customer service to be on par with that price. They called 20 minutes later saying they can't even get ahold of the tech who is supposed to be the one calling me. So I cancelled my appointment. I immediately got a phone call from a DRF representative who was beyond unprofessional, mocking me, laughing at me, cutting me off, etc. I had to literally scream at the top of my lungs on the phone just to shut this representative up and say cancel my appointment and then I laid into him telling him before ending with a final "go f*** yourself". I would rate 0 out of infinite stars if I could.DRF Water Heating Solutions

1 starBUYER BEWARE -DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ. Purchased a new hot water heater from DRF thru *****. Boxes and signs in ***** stated same day service if purchase is completed by noon of the same day. I got everything completed by noon but was first told by DRF dispatcher that I missed the deadline and would have to wait until the next day. I corrected her and demanded same day service as advertised. She stated that tech in our area was swamped and that I had to wait until the next day. If you advertise a service you had better be able to deliver. Very disappointed, definitely do not recommend.Review fromFrederick Y.

1 starThis company knowingly installed the incorrect water heater and after placing it did not finish connecting all the opponents specifically the vent to the exhaust from carbon monoxide, with that being said I had a carbon monoxide leak cause the fire department and gas company to come out during the visit they quickly acknowledge where the leak was coming from and shut off my gas. So know I have no gas also no heat in my home Im the only working parent and I have 3 little kids after paying **** this was the result and Im trying my best to see what I can do about the situationReview fromDavid S

1 starI purchased a water heater thru ********** to replace a leaking water heater. On the first visit the installer indicated an issue with the wiring. Understandable I had a new wire run for the water heater. The second visit the water heater was installed and the plumber from DFR stated I would need a metal cover on the power running to the water heater. When the inspector arrived, he only stated a robber grommet was required to protect the wire from the metal cover on the water heater. I called DFR 4 times to have their installer install the required grommet. They scheduled and canceled 3 times. DFR claims it was an electrical issue, on the call I offered to take pictures to show the concern and explain what was required. Only on the 4 and last call did the agent from DFR accepted the pictures. DFR still canceled the 3rd visit to correct the issue. Due to the lost time of 3 canceled visit to install the rubber grommet as required I am giving DFR 1 star. If DFR had the made good on the issue after receiving the failed inspection report it would be a 5 star. I had to hire someone else to install the rubber grommet DFR refused to install.Review fromLarry B

1 starI would just echo the negative reviews found here. I went to ****** to purchase a water heater and asked what they thought the installation might cost, just a ballpark idea. They wouldn't offer an idea but said they could arrange the delivery, installation and haul away through a service they work with - DRF. After an exchange of information, they quoted a total price of $3200 for the delivery, installation and haul off of the $900 heater (which was part of the $3200 price). When I expressed shock at the price, the rep essentially told me I could take it or leave it, but that they'd refund the difference if I could find a cheaper price elsewhere. I bit the bullet and gave them the go ahead, not knowing how much work would be involved. As it turned out, the plumber they arranged got it done in two hours. Fortunately, he appears to have done a good job and there were no problems with the installation. So I paid $2300 for the delivery, 2 hours of plumbing work and the haul off of the old heater. Needless to say, that's hugely overpriced. I asked the rep for a detailed bill, but was provided only a total. So it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to obtain an estimate for the same work from another contractor. They also said they would "pull the permit" (for which I would have to pay separately. They did not.Review fromAlan F

SIgned up with ********** for a Hot Water ********** Installation as my current water heater was leaking. I asked who their installer was and was told it was company called DRF Water Heating Solutions (whom I never heard of). I was told I was getting 2 of their best water heater installers (what a joke!). After the job, they left metal pieces on the floor which I had to clean up. The next day, I turned on my kitchen faucet and no water came out. Tried the bathroom sink faucet and got ***** water. Eventually, I got no flow either. The bathtub kept spewing out ***** sediment. I called DRF and told them I have no water running in 2 of 3 faucets and sediment and ***** water in bathtub. The representative told me about sediment problems but DRF did nothing. THE INSTALLERS NEVER MENTIONED POSSIBLE SEDIMENT PROBLEMS AND WHAT TO DO IF I ENCOUNTERED THEM!Called my village water ***** also the day after installation and they had a guy come out within 3 hours who removed the aerators on 2 of the faucets which allowed water flow but still had sediment problems so couldn't drink, shower, wash clothes, or run dishwasher. He told me to turn faucets on and off throughout the next few days to get rid of sediment.I got a call 6 DAYS LATER from a manager inquiring about my installation. After telling her about my nightmare situation, she offered to send someone out. Sediment problem had finally cleared up a few days ago. What a lousy way to do business!DRF Water Heating Solutions

Thank you for your feedback. Occasionally, work on a plumbing system can dislodge sediment such as rust and minerals from pipes, causing the problems you experienced. We apologize for the inconvenience and delay in responding to your issue, and happy that its been resolved. Based on your feedback, we have taken steps to improve communications regarding sediment issues. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.Review fromPiilani W

ZERO STARS! Not a reputable company, dishonest, overpriced, hidden fees. We were given a quote for a tankless water heater (Roughly $7,400) and was informed that the quote covered the cost for everything. A few weeks later we decided to move forward with DRF; upon speaking with a representative all we needed to do was submit a form with our current water heater information along with pictures. The turn around was a little more than a week after submitting the requested information (Thursday, we were told it would be the next day someone would contact us); I called the following Monday to get a status update; was told my account was just updated, then I was contacted today, Friday to schedule the onsite survey/inspection. When scheduling, I was told there would be a $149 fee paid to the technician for this service. I was not made aware prior to this that there would be any additional fees, when I inquired about it, I was told that it is standard charge and it was probably an oversight with why I wasn't told. This fee is not put towards the quote, I also asked if there would be any other unexpected charges, I was told no. My next question was if there needed to be an extra hole, outlet, piping, tubing, etc would that be covered under the quote, I was told no it would in fact be an additional charge. I then asked if the technician deemed additional work needed to be completed prior to install, would I be able to cancel without being charged, I was told I could cancel but I would forfeit the $149 fee. It blows my mind that with other reviews with similar issues, this company is still contracted through Lowes. Either way, if you decide to go through with this service or not they are guaranteed to make $149 off of you. Please go through another company that values their customers and not just looking for the next person they can scam.DRF Water Heating Solutions
