On July 26th, 2023, a tree branch broke and put a whole thru my roof. I had the limb removed because I was led to believe contractors would be here on the following Monday. I paid off the tree service to the tune of $6000.00 as they had to remove the limb on a Saturday. When finally contacted by the point person from the insurance recommended contractor, I let him know that by paying for the tree service, I had reached my deductible. From that point on, he told me to let him take care of the insurance company and we would not need to pay out more money. After 9 months, the problm was repaired except for gutter. The contractor rep came up to have me sign off on all the work I completed. I noticed a difference of $806.00 and asked Mr *********************** what this meant. He told me that was not my problem the last I spoke with him. He stressed I would not need to pay for anything more as I had already paid my deductible. I ws told this numerous times. With the work done by them, *** had me sign the completion and at that time, he again told me the $806.00 sum was not a bill to me. Now the company is trying to bill me for the sme sid ****** and are now threatening me with a lien on my property. I am going to talk to the company owners who are currently out of town. I do not think this is a valid bill and the company should back what was told to me numerous times. I feel I've been lied to, deceived and they are trying to rectify their books on my back. Any lien placed on my property will be appealed until dropped.

    Business Response

We spoke with **************** today. He's happy with the work. Our Project Manager presumptively told **************** on multiple occasions that he wouldn't owe any more money than what he's already paid as our Project Manager assumed the credit that the insured would receive for the gutters that were to be installed by another company would exceed any remaining amount owed. Our Project Manager spoke ahead of himself without looking at costs or work performed to date. In today's conversation with **************** we explained that though we reviewed his file and found that insurance did pay him for all of the work LDR performed, we would honor our Project Manager's word and write off the disputed balance of $806.67 that he was told he wouldn't have to pay. We have utilized this experience as a training opportunity with our project managers to ensure they are fully aware of all costs into a job before making any statements (verbal or written) on balances due.
