I filed a workers compensation claim last month and my claims manager refuses to contact me so I can get compensation.After first filing the complaint the claims manager (******* ******) became unreachable. In order to get her on the phone I had to call the ************************* to get her to acknowledge she had my medical records. Due to her being unreachable I requested a change in claims managers and was told I can only request that through ******* Hempels supervisor ****** ***** who also does not answer phone calls or messages. I have not received any response from her in ******** out of work time has been extended twice. I have sent my medical bills and out of work notes to ******* ****** through email, and called, and left a message, and uploaded through the app. No response.I have once again contacted the state to try to get her to acknowledge the documents for compensation. It appears Gallagher Bassetts plan to avoid paying workers compensation claims is to pretend they have never received the documents or been contacted. I hope Im wrong about that and there is some good reason for the companys behavior.Business Response

On 07/03/2024, my car was struck by a policy holder represented by Gallagher. My vehicle was damaged along various area of the drivers side by a semi tractor who changed into my lane while traveling on the interstate. This insurer is choosing to complete a partial repair of damages despite them being advised that all damages resulted from their clients neglect. There is documented evidence of the damage provided to the insurer at the start of the claim by the body shop. The claim adjuster for Gallagher, Idahlia G,, has been very nonchalant, non responsive, and is slowing the claim by creating difficulties and not returning my property back to pre-accident Condition . On September 13th I submitted all documents needed to prove that I have insurance coverage in the state of ******** to Gallagher insurance company. This is the fourth time I submitted proof of insurance, this final time I submitted a letter from my insurance company that states I am covered for primary care, mental health, pharmacy, physical therapy, diagnostic, and whatever care I would need while in the state of ********. On Monday September 16 I received an Email from Gallagher that my insurance has been denied as proof of coverage because it only covers emergency room visits which is false. Now they are going to force me to pay for their insurance because they are denying my insurance as proof of coverage in the state of ******** while I am in school at the ********************************. This company has continued to deny my insurance for the last two months and now would like me to pay over $6000 a year so that I can stay in school. If I do not pay, there will be a hold on my school account. I will not be able to continue classes or get my degree. There is no reason my insurance should be denied. I currently have a primary care in the state of ********, a physical therapist, a cardiologist and have done multiple diagnostic test. I dont know if this is considered insurance fraud or if this is fraudulent activities, but they continue to deny my insurance, even after producing all the documentation I could possibly give them and talking to them on the phone multiple times.Business Response

July 11th my car was struck standing still. Since July 11th Gallagher Bassett has been the absolute worst at filling my settlement. It is now 2 months later and I dont know where we are at in the claims process because the adjuster handling my case only corresponds with me once a week if Im lucky. There have been larger gaps of me being blatantly ignored. My car was totaled and the lack of professionalism is insulting. Especially for someone who was minding their own business on their couch inside their house when all of this started. I have been patiently waiting to come here however it has gotten to the point where the payout shouldve been issued over a month ago. Was involved in a car accident that wasn't our fault on June 19th 2024. Our car was totaled. Our "Senior Resolution Manager" from Gallagher Bassett barely returned any phone calls or emails and if she did it took days up to a week sometimes and she had a attitude about everything. Called head office and requested to speak to someone else and nobody returns calls. This has been going on for 3 months now. I was told as soon as we sent the title and signed a POA that she would release the check. Car is gone, body shop was paid for storage but that's it. . *** sent me a letter attached here in this complaint. The letter required a contractor perform UNNESSASARY repairs for me to maintain homeowners coverage after the new year. I would note *** phone agents are excellent and very helpful. We appreciate Mr. ********* frustration, but as he pointed out in his BBB Review, we are simply passing along the message from Narragansett Bay Insurance Company. Gallagher did not conduct the inspection noted, and does not trigger or request the inspections; all inspection activity is at the direction of the insurance company, not us as the broker/agent. Wed be happy to work with Mr. ******** to pursue alternate insurance company quotes for his home insurance if he does not want to continue with Narragansett Bay, but should note that most insurance companies will conduct an inspection, and may come back with the same recommendation.

I have contacted *****************************, a claim adjuster at Gallagher Bassett, via phone and email to request a copy of the workers compensation lien and an itemized printout of benefits. This information is necessary for me to assess every ***** claimed to have been spent on my workers compensation claim, to verify the alleged total lien amount.The transaction date was February 2024, and the amount I paid out was over $300,000. Despite my efforts, I feel that I am being given the runaround and am not receiving the information I have requested. A ***** Vehicle damaged my lawn and sprinkler system while delivering a package to my home on July 23, 2004. After an exhausting call with *****, they told me to file a claim with ARC, the third-party provider. I attempted to, got the run-around, and finally filed a BBB complaint against ARC, #********, which is where *************************, their General Counsel, came in and provided some assistance getting the claim to Gallagher Bassett, who is the actual processor of the claim. Once ****** got the claim number, the ** BBB closed his portion of the case. My problem is I called Gallagher Bassett this morning, and they have no record of this claim number. This is more of the runaround I have been experiencing throughout this entire process. Therefore, I am filing a BBB complaint against Gallagher Bassett. The reason I am accepting their response is two individuals from Gallagher Basset having heard from ***************************, Branch Manager U.S. Claim Operation|Gallagher Bassett, and my Adjuster, *************************;| Resolution Manager | Gallagher Bassett. ****************** has reached out and currently assigned me a valid claims number, the previous one was not valid, and is working to get an estimate for the damage to my grass and sprinkler head/system. I am fine now that the process is "finally" moving forward without the finger pointing I experienced since July 23, 2024, with with ARC. Fingers crossed this gets resolved within the next few weeks, if not sooner.

My name is *************************, and Im advocating for **************. Yesterday, he called because his GB app wouldnt let him log in. After resetting his password, he called again to get help with direct deposit and was told by the *** that his claim was dropped and that he should contact his employer.It is unacceptable that ************** hasnt received workmans compensation since his injury on November 15, 2016 and we are now prepared to take this to the media. I am a public figure with a huge international platform and I will expose GB for insurance fraud. Whats been done to ************** is legally, morally, and ethically wrong. ************** has faced severe hardships, including PTSD, anxiety, homelessness, a heart attack, and the loss of his children and marriage due to mishandling by adjusters, including *******************************, *****************************, and the supervisor *****************. Your unprofessional conduct, including hanging up and refusing to speak with us, has worsened his situation.Your automated system shows two checks issued to him:- Check #*********, $400, issued 8/4/2024, for dates 5/28/24-5/29/24 - Check #*********, $15, issued 5/29, for dates 5/22/24 He needs to know where these checks were sent since direct deposit wasnt set up. When we last spoke, **** claimed no checks were issued, but the automated system shows otherwise. How can ****, as a supervisor, be unaware of this? ************** has repeatedly requested the full policy limits and statute of limitations with no response. The involvement of ***********************, who claims to be a GB representative but works for a fraud investigation company hired to make it look like ************* is committing fraud further complicates the case. Gallagher Bassett and ***************** have mishandled this claim egregiously. This will be exposed, and you will be held accountable.
