      On 9/29/24 I was traveling from ******** to ********** when my truck transmission failed. On 9/30/2024 I purchased a replacement transmission from Calibrated Power Solutions (CPS, dba Duramax Tuner) and had it shipped to *********, ** where I was stranded. While waiting for the transmission I had additional work performed by the shop I had selected and felt that the work was thorough and professionally done. When I took delivery of my truck on October 27 I stocked supplies and prepared to depart ********* with my travel trailer the next morning. After traveling about 10 miles with the trailer in tow I began to get transmission overheating alarms followed shortly by engine overheat alarms. The transmission fluid is cooled by the same radiator as the engine radiator for the most part. There is a separate cooler for the transmission. I had both the main radiator and trans cooler replaced by the shop.The diagnosis was that the new transmission had failed and caused the overheating. All products supplied by *** have been returned to their *********, ILL facility.Both the diagnosis by the shop technicians and my efforts to recover my costs were rejected by the transmission vendor, CPS, which is the reason for this complaint. I have attached copies of my correspondence with CPS and a copy of their Warranty document. They have not replied to my demands or furnished documentation as to their analysis and inspections results of the failed transmission.

      *** ****** returned the transmission as requested. After our technician tore down the returned transmission for fault in assembly, failure in material or other points of concern, there was nothing found to indicate the transmission has failed or was in pre-mature to failure. All parts and pieces were functioning as expected. It's our opinion that the issues caused by excessive heat were caused by the installer by possible not hot flushing the the existing transmission cooling system or internal foreign debris from some of the after market parts *** ****** purchased from his installer or other means. Calibrated Power did not install the transmission for *** ******. 

      Regardless, per *** ******** request, we have refunded the purchase price for the transmission, transmission core, transmission cooler and cooler lines. Refund was processed back to his credit card used for the original purchase.
