My father in law passed away in December of 2018. He was buried in a family plot at the cemetery. To date there has not been grass cover his grave site. I have contacted the owner of the cemetery both in person, email and by telephone. He has given every excuse possible. In late 2019 (a year after his burial) it was too late to put down grass seed. Then in 2020 & 2021 it was Covids fault. In 2022 they told us that when they replaced the dirt the groundskeeper put the wrong dirt down. Last year they were putting seed down again but it needed time to grow. My mother in law had experienced such anxiety each time she visits her husband of 86 years gravesite. I have contacted the state attorney office however this complaint does not fall under their jurisdiction. Today I spoke with the funeral and cemetery licensing board and they suggested I contact the BBB We dont want money. We just want my father in laws gravesite to be covered with grass just like the rest of the ****** In that cemetery.

    **********************************************,

We again apologize that you have been disappointed in the progress of the grass growing on *************************** burial space. As you mentioned there have been many interactions over the past few years and we have responded to each request with maintenance work being performed. To date, the space has been reseeded a minimum of eight times in addition to added fertilizer, seed aide applications, and weekly watering visits by our supervisor. It is our goal to have every one of our ******+ ****** be perfect in the sight of family and we will continue to daily tend to each one. While we do not control nature nor can anyone make grass grow on demand, we will continue to work with you in a respectful way and thank you for your cooperation to that end.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

We understand YOU do not control the weather. That said, my father in law  was buried over 5 1/2 years ago and we have seen ZERO improvement over the last 4 years.   Youre 8 + attempts at seeding, fertilizing and continued watering is clearly not working!

We fail to understand why newer gravesite within the cemetery have grass, including sites established within the last year.

This makes my mother in law who turns 100 on June 22 is extremely upset each time she visits

    Regards,

We have responded to ****************** through your link. There are a few additional facts. It has been up and down with ****************** sometimes there are thank yous and other times threats. The comment about excuses is not accurate. While we do not have a contract with ****************** she is married to a grandchild of the original lot owner. We honor all family requests for maintenance whether they are a customer or not. ****************** continues to post negative comments on our ******** page, give derogatory Yelp and ****** reviews, filed a complaint with the Attorney General (which was dismissed), and send threatening voicemails and emails. While this is the nature of our society these days we find her to be hostile even with our maintenance crew's efforts. If she would let the grave fill in as grass is supposed to it would be healthy and full like those surrounding it. However each time she complains and demands work, we re-till the areas, add dirt, seed, etc. and then we are starting from scratch again. We hope that this further explains what has been an ongoing ordeal with someone who is launching an advocacy group and trying to do this professionally.
