      This is concerning our move with United States Moving Company. We scheduled with them months before the Dec. 26 move from ********, ** to ********, **. We were told we would have our furniture in three days. We did no. Therefore we spent many nights in a hotel and had little contact with *********************** who were contracted by United States Moving Company, unless I called or texted or emailed them. In fact, from 5 p.m. on Dec. 26 until Jan. 4, we had no idea where our belongings were.We finally did get our furniture in ten days after being promised a three-day delivery; I called and emailed daily. The subcontractor that moved us through USMC was **************************. When we finished signed our initial contract via email with USMC, our estimate was $5600. All in all, they ended up charging a $2460 deposit plus an additional $640 due to us needed more boxes. Other fees included $1600 to be paid before and after delivery--total would come to somewhere around $6,300. We paid the $3000 to USMC but when ************************** to get our furniture, instead of the $1600 to be paid at pickup, (as indicated by USMC) they charged us $5,516.80. Then, they charged us the $1600 at delivery; they told us we couldn't have our furniture if we didn't pay it.We also had a $3500 antique ship's wheel that was damaged in the move and other items (boxes) were unwrapped and rewrapped.
