      This place is an absolute nightmare. No one will call you back, respond to an email or do anything resembling communication or accountability. Pay more or just put your things in the street, douse them in kerosene and set them on fire. It will be less frustrating.

      Shame on me for not doing sufficient due diligence before signing up with USMS. They lie, squeeze money out of you, hand-off your move to unqualified movers, and disappear when things start to go wrong. One reason I chose them was a promise that my belongings, being moved from WA to **, would remain on the same trailer they were loaded on at my house, in one of USMS's warehouses in ******* free for up to 30 days. Bold faced lie. Three days before the scheduled pick-up USMS performed another "scan" of my house and suddenly the move cost nearly doubled. They demanded an immediate additional payment of $5,000 on top of the $7,200 deposit I had already given. The pick-up date passed with no communication from USMS. I couldn't get hold of them either. I started to think SCAM, but a few days later somebody from another moving company, who I had no involvement with selecting, called and said they were coming the next day. They also said the agreed payment of $8,200 at pick-up was not enough, and they wanted an additional $2,500, making the total I had paid before my stuff was even loaded onto a truck $22,900. I found out later my stuff was taken to a local warehouse and unloaded, where it remained for over a month. I was unable to contact anybody at USMS or the second moving company during this entire time. I started to think they scammed me out of $22,900 AND all of my stuff. Finally, after a month, with some internet sleuthing I was able to contact a truck dispatch company that was able to look up my move details and told me my stuff had just been loaded onto a truck in Washington. They even gave me the truck driver's details. I can't directly blame USMS for all the damage to my stuff, but they did pick the guys who moved it and they should take some responsibility. Bottom line is USMS will take as much money from you as possible and give nothing in return. Never, ever use these guys.
