In january 0f 2022 they was hired to do a complete redo of the **************** of my home. They submitted one price and then doubled the price by the end if that wasnt bad enough , we told them we would pay what we could with not set time or date for the payments they was charging finance charges left and right. Then 3 months in we had to call them on a saturday to repair a connector that they just replaced and they had to rip out a new wall. replace the valve . And you would think they would cover that, oh no they charged for the repair and even for the faulty part that they had just replaced 3 months prior. never mind the wall and floor that was now destroyed over there faulty part. now they have turned it over to a collection agency for non payment on a non contract .

the customer asked for a ballpark price to repair existing plumbing for a home he was buying.  because of the condition of the home, we found there was much more to be done than originally agreed upon.  Never giving a formal quote or agreeing on a price, the customer was informed that the work would be done based on our hourly rate **************, as we didn't know how long the work would take.  Upon getting the go ahead from the customer, we proceeded to do all the work required to make the home livable. when completed, the customer asked about making $400.00 per month payments, which is not what we normally do.  We did agree to allow a monthly payment of $400.00 per month.  after 17 sporadic payments and a balance of $2,752.00,  the payments stopped.  Several attempts to reach the customer were unfruitful.  Since then, the customer has received many late fees, bringing the balance to $2,930.07.  The after hours call to repair damaged water line in a wall behind clothes washer was due to a drywall s**** driven into the water line when drywall was hung, thereby nulling any warranty coverage.  the hole cut to access the water line was a neatly cut rectangular hole, easily replaced with a few screws.

Powells plumbing & electric came to my house to install a new water heater. The technician broke the waterline, which resulted in him flooding my entire basement causing water damage to all my baseboards and new flooring, which also turned to mold in some areas. I asked if they had insurance for something like that happening and the technician said he would have to ask his boss and get back to me. He didnt even clean up the flooded mess he caused, my dad had to do it all with a wet vac himself, which took several hours. I have a video of him cleaning it up and picture evidence of the damage caused from the water, but instead of discussing it with me and coming to a solution Powells turned me into collections, which I dont feel is right, especially since they caused so much damage. I had tried calling them several times after I sent the email to them with the pictures etc. they had asked for and they never responded to the emails or phone calls. The receptionist would tell me nobody was in the office and take my information and not get back with me, and then I got something in the mail from debt collector. I called debt collector they said Powells was the only ones who could stop it. Today someone finally answered my call at Powells and told me they already turned me in and there was nothing they could do about it now, when I told them collections said they could stop it he said they wouldnt be since they already sent it. I told them I was going to turn them in as well and they laughed at me and said have a good day and hung up. They never even answered about if they took my home owners insurance off the bill or not to begin with either. The below uploads will not let me submit the video of the water my dad was cleaning up.
