      Came in to get a car loan. My credit score is over 800 and had no issue receiving a loan for the car I was seeking. The loan annual percentage rate (APR) is based on the year, make and model of the vehicle. I was told to come back with the bill of sale so they can write a check to the seller. Came back with the exact vehicle I was seeking and the bill of sale. I made a down payment to seller to retain vehicle while I return with the check from Tech Credit Union. Ended up waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes to be told in the lobby in front of everyone that my loan was denied. They reneged on the loan and could not explain why and states the vice president made the decision. I asked to speak with the **** that made this decision and was told that person is not available and would send an email to the **** to contact me back. Never received a call back so I called them to get an explanation. Finally received a call back from an associate. She seemed to be prepared to explain some jargon that my car was not worth their business. I explained they should advise customers on what kind of cars they will or will not except. She stated with a quick response "we won't do that". I explained I was going to make big down payment and have a warranty on the vehicle. I was met with a fake sorry and a deaf ear. Not impressed with their customer service or professionalism. I did not seem to bother her that I am now wanting to cancel my account with them. Luckily, I worked it out with the seller through other means. However, majority of dealers or independent car sales will not return your down payment for retaining the vehicle. I will not be doing any business with them in the future.
