We bought a new Bennington boat from a dealer in **. The warranty was a factor in our decision. I developed issues with the decking and trim which were accepted by Bennington as warranty repairs. Over the course of a year, we've been unable to get the boat repaired through a Bennington dealer as the replacement parts were sent incorrectly or damaged. We worked our way through the Bennington network, a regional representative and headquarters customer service entity with no resolution. I want Bennington to honor the warranty. It's a new boat and shouldn't have the quality defects we're experiencing. The customer service experience has been awful.

Dear Mr. ************ apologize for the delayed reply and the unsavory experience thus far.  Please allow me to explain the chain of events as our records indicate.

In January, we received notification from ******** Marine of the rail defect which was immediately approved as a warranty based on the pictures provided at that time.  Unfortunately, with those pictures and warranty request the wrong hull identification number (ETWL1416F122) was relayed by ******** Marine as the attachments you provided indicate.  Of course, the wrong hull number resulted in replacement parts being sent in late February, delivered in early March which did not match the ****** boat.  Once the mistake was realized, ******** Marine reordered the needed replacement rails with the correct hull number (ETWL1516F122) on June 11th.  We processed the reordered rails and shipped the rails on July 23rd (4-6 weeks is typical) and were delivered in early August.  In our communications with ******** Marine, they have confirmed the needed parts are in their possession.  If they haven't already, ******** Marine will be reaching out to you to schedule the installation under a warranty repair status, which is no charge to you for replacement parts, shipping or installation labor.

On behalf of Bennington please accept our most sincere apologies for this unfortunate miscommunication.

    Thank you,
    ******* ********

Folding seats supplied with my Salt Water series pontoon boat are clearly labeled Bass boat seats they were built with mild steel fasteners that have rusted so severely that the seat back broke off dumping my passenger on the floor, luckily and not overboard. Bass boat seats may be fine for fresh water but have no place on a Salt water series boat. There are 4 of these seats on my boat and their dealer refused to replace them and instead quoted me $441 dollars each to replace them. I wouldnt buy these seats for any price with their non stainless steel rust prone fasteners. In fact, these seats shouldve been subject to a recall for any Salt Water series boats they have been installed on. These seats pose a series safety issue. I have sent pictures and emailed their customer service rep ********************* twice weeks ago with no response.
