I ordered a main board replacement for my Hisense TV from TV Parts Today. What I received was a completely defective part, and after returning it, they refused to refund the $27 I paid in import customs fees. I ended up losing that money for absolutely nothing.
Customer service responded quickly, but that doesn’t mean much when they don’t take responsibility for sending out faulty parts. Looking through other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s been through this. This business clearly lacks quality control.

    Hello,
We refunded you in full. We cannot issue refunds for something we did not charge; in this case, Customs and Duties fees. Those are issued by your country of origin, not us. Customers are responsible for paying those fees, which we explain extensively in our Terms and Conditions, as well as our Refund Policy. We apologize for any inconvenience!

I received a main board for a samsung tv from TV parts today. Once unwrapping the package, I noticed the board was only wrapped in plastic, no anti static, and the board itself was damaged. After contacting them, they offered to send a free replacement, but I was already past due on this for a customer, so that was not going to work. They said I could send it back and pay a 20% restock fee, which is semi understandable, except for the fact that they sent me a damaged, unusable product. Well I got my refund today, and after paying $46.47, the only refunded $19.99. This was after I paid for shipping both ways. So basically, I lost $26.48 and I am out a board and a customer. I wish I would have read all the reviews before doing business with them, but I'll be sure to steer people far away from this company.

    Hello,
We apologize if you believe you received a subpar customer service experience with us! We strive to deliver exceptional service to our customers and it seems we failed in that regard.
That being said, we did make a special note of your return because in the form you submitted you stated that "The part is physically broken, the capicitor is crooked". However, when we received the part, it was not physically damaged at all. The HEATSINK was crooked, yes, but it had been like that since it was manufactured and did not affect the functioning of the part. We also ship ALL parts in pink anti-static bags. If you had contacted us via phone or filed for a replacement, we would have reached out for pictures and let you know the heatsink being askew did not affect the part, however you filed for a return so our Returns Department processed your submission as you requested. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, however we followed our Terms and Conditions for our business, as laid out on our website. Thank you!

TV Parts Today demonstrates bad business practices when returning merchandise. A company representative encouraged me to return a part that wasn't useful in repairing my tv. He said he didn't want me to be stuck with a part I couldn't use. After following all the guidelines outlined by TV Parts Today, I was refunded only $35.49 out of the $85.82 I paid. When I emailed with my concerns I was informed that I had been charged the full 20% restocking fee and $16.50 because I printed the return label made available to me without mention of the charge. (I had already paid $20.83 shipping when I ordered the part.) I let TV Parts Today know I planned to write a review concerning the cost of doing business with their company. I got no response to my second email. If I would have read the *** reviews on TV Parts Today and seen the C+ rating, I would have ordered from a different company. I am writing this review in hopes of making others aware it is costly doing business with this company.

    Hello,
We apologize if you believe you did not receive an exceptional customer service experience with us. We strive to deliver the best experience we can for our customers. That being said, we are very, VERY upfront about any associated costs and/or fees of doing business with us.
If a part is returned as "not needed", which your part was, it is subject to a 20% restocking fee and the customer is responsible for shipping. This is stated in multiple locations on our website, including our Terms and Conditions, which are agreed to at the time of purchase. The Returns Request Form, which a customer must fill out to start the returns process, also restates all of our Refund Policy, including the 20% restocking fee AND the shipping label charge.
TV repair is a process of elimination and troubleshooting, so many times a customer will need to purchase multiple parts in order to figure out what is wrong with their set and repair it. These fees are in place to prevent our business being used as a "parts library" for TV repair, and they are standard practice in this industry.
We are sorry you feel you were not treated fairly, however we were very upfront about everything and believe we treated you with the same respect and fairness as any other customer. Thank you and have a great day!

I had a Vizio tv that had the main board go bad. I found a company that would repair the board but it was lost in the mail. I knew the model number and the board number, so I ordered it from TV Parts Today. I received the board but it didn't work so I contacted TV Parts Today and was told that it was probably the screen itself.
The post office found my package and sent it to the repair service. I received the repaired board and it worked perfectly.
In conclusion either TV Parts Today sent me a bad board or the wrong board. I requested a refund but it still cost me the shipping both ways.
If the board was defective then they never tested it before sending it to me, otherwise, if it was the wrong board then it shows they are incompetent.
I would not recommend Purchasing anything from TV Parts Today.

they sent me 3 different boards for the same tv that none of them worked . after I reflowed the original boards chip I got the tv working .I sent all 3 of the bad boards back but they only refunded me the price of the board not the $19.99 shipping cost or $2.73 tax.Iwas told that's their policy so It ended up costing me to buy parts that didn't work. I am done doing business with them .

Parts came with crumpled note and USB stick. Excess glue on boards, overstuffed box. They send parts from dropped tvs without testing them, hope for the best, and only issue refunds when FORCED. Crumpled paper says "it's normal for the parts not to work, please install firmware via USB using our flash drive". These instructions have been outdated (firmware payload format has changed, and none of their suggestions work, parts don't work). Computer AND TV now bricked. Their solutions (install a zip and dep via USB instead of pkg) did not work. Binary payload does not work. Parts do not work. When I reported the scam, their owner threatened to sue me for libel (I'm beyond poor, they literally took my last dollars already). Their owner threatens most negative reviewers -- look up non-Google reviews, pissedconsumer.com, trustpilot.com, BBB complaints or sort by new to watch him threaten and intimidate people. Others report refunds are not awarded until this company is forced to do so by PayPal and others.

I had an absolutely awesome experience working with TV Parts Today. I did quite a bit of research beforehand and diagnosed the part as a potential power board or main board failure before ordering anything. The parts shipped extremely fast. Like I order Sunday night and by 8:30 Monday morning they were out the door before I could follow up and change my order. The Plant Operations Manager was very communicative and proactively followed up with me to see if my purchase was successful. The Plant Operations Manager also anticipated needs since I was hoping a main board would solve my issue. They thought outside the box of rote customer service to come up with a satisfying plan of action to get me more parts to attempt to resolve my issue. While ultimately the parts did not resolve my issue as it was the LCD that failed, I really felt that TV Parts Today was invested in trying to help me succeed. I felt that they helped me as well as they could and did what they said they would do. They were part of the solution, not part of the problem and made me feel great as a client. I ended up being satisfied with the personal time and cost involved even if it didn't work out. If I ever need TV parts again, I will definitely be going to TV Parts Today.

Oh boy, where do I even start? ?? If I could give no stars, believe me, I would. But here I am, forced to drop a star just to share my story. So, listen up, folks, especially if you're like me, diving into the world of fixing TVs and making them sparkle again.
I've been in this game for nearly 30 years. That's right, three whole decades of wrestling with wires and bringing screens back to life. I always play it smart, ordering double the parts because, let's face it, things can get rough and parts can end up being duds. So, I grabbed one set of the essentials from our favorite online giant (hint: not the one with the rainforest name) and another set from... well, let's just call it "the shop of disappointments." ??
Now, the parts from our reliable giant worked like a charm. TV came back on, and it was like it never skipped a beat. But the set from the other guys? Total flop. Not a flicker, not a hum, nothing. I spent a good chunk of change, $97.19 to be exact, hoping for some quality stuff. But when I had to send back their useless parts, they hit me with so many fees, I ended up getting back less than half of what I spent. Can you believe that? ??
I gave them a call, hoping maybe they'd see reason. They even had the nerve to offer me store credit. Like, seriously? After this circus? No thank you. I'm not about to give them another chance to let me down.
So, here's the deal, my friends. From one repair ninja to another, stay clear of the "shop of disappointments." There are plenty of places where you can get your parts without all this drama. Save your money, save your time, and save yourself from a headache. ?????? Trust me, your sanity (and your wallet) will thank you. Let's keep our tech journeys smooth and stick to the places that treat us right!

I am surprised to see this review from this customer as they declined the free warranty replacement, even while apparently being aware of the TV repair industry & even stating that they always "play it smart, ordering double the parts because, let's face it, things can get rough and parts can end up being duds". This customer refused the warranty replacement that is offered in the case of any defective or damaged parts. If the warranty replacement is declined, there is a restocking fee of 20% of the part price and the customer is responsible for the return shipping. Our return/refund policy has been the same for the last ten years so I could only assume someone who has been in the industry for the last 30 years would like already be aware of our policy as we are one of the largest TV parts distributors in the world. Aslo, the terms/return policies are available on our website 24/7 for our customer's convenience.
