There was a late payment on my auto loan which was (I assumed) lost in the nail because I did send the payment off. My brothers payment was also lost in the mail but his was at another institution where it was taken off his credit due to him having a spotless record. I have been paying my car loan with Forum over 2 years with no late payment and they could not accommodate me. From there I no longer wanted to give this company my business and asked to pay my loan in full. The representative told me I had to pay a per diem and fess to close my account and then proceeded to change the subject and told me I still had late fees to pay in which I did not have any late fees since I paid the past 2 months and current month. After she found all my payments, I continued to ask her about me paying my loan in full and she said that she could not authorize me to do so after I have given her all my information and telling me to have to pay fees in order to close an account. I asked to speak to a manager and she just said I have to wait for their call and I have not received anything.

Tell us why here...The payment for the July 28,2022 **** was posted on September 2, 2022 which resulted in a 30 day credit ****.  Collections did leave messages regarding the payment starting on August 3, 2022.  On September 13, 2022, FORUM received a phone call from Ms. ************************** **************** completed  a phone payment with the collections representative and asked that the credit **** be removed.  The collections representative explained that it was not a FORUM error so we were unable to update this.  Same day, **************** called back and spoke to another collections representative asking to remove the credit ****.  The collections representative advised **************** that FORUM was not able to as this was not a FORUM error.  **************** asked for payoff which was provided.  **************** had further questions regarding the payoff that the collection representative could not answer.  The collections representative stated  she would request a Manager to call her back. The Department Manager reached out to **************** on September 13, 2022 and explained the credit **** would not be removed because this was not a  FORUM error.  **************** was provided with the payoff and **************** stated she would put the check in the mail.
FORUM appreciates **************** business; however since Financial Institutions use credit reporting to lend money based on accurate information, FORUM is unable to change any credit bureau reporting.  We suggest **************** place a statement on her credit bureau file explaining that the payment was lost in the mail.
