I called the company out to my rental property to rod out the sewer line. The property was recently renovated and had not been occupied in years.I paid for them to rid the main line from the house to the main sewer line and was told there was a guarantee on the work done. My tenant called me on Friday to say there was water in the basement that turned out to be raw sewage. I called the company and left 3 urgent messages over the weekend expecting someone to contact me when they opened Monday morning, Their website says they open at 7, I had to call them at 8:30. The person on the phone initially said they could come out on Thursday. I explained that there was raw sewage in the basement and two young children lived there so I needed an emergency call. I called back two more time over the next 6 hours because no one from the company bothered to call me back. The lady decided to finally tell me they were booked up and couldnt get to me today. Even for an emergency call.I had to call out another company who told me that the sewer had not been rodded out to the main line and because of the sewage back up, my water heater was being damaged. I was charged $75 for the emergency call. For them to suggest that I contact City Sanitation and insist that they honor their guarantee. When I called back to make the appointment the lady on the phone took my info and just said ok. I had to ask her again WHEN were they planning to come out. To that she said it would be tomorrow and when I asked what time, then she told me between 8:15 - 3pm. It is unacceptable service. If they had done the job properly to begin with. This wouldnt be an issue. It is additionally unacceptable to disregard an urgent request when their company is the reason this happened.

      Business Response

      Date: 11/13/2024

We checked our files and could not find the address that the claimant provided where service was performed. This may be the Claimants personal address. In order for us to look into the matter we will need the home address where service had been performed. At this time all I can state is that we are not a twenty four hour service provider and we do not operate on weekends and we dont respond to emergency calls when we receive them but place the customer at our next available opening. This could take place on the same day, the next day or the next available opening.
