I had a surgery in May of this year my disabilty claim was accepted, however when it need to be eextended due to other medical issues that arose it was an issue. My rep **** was very disrespectful, at one point she said I was harassing her. Her supervisor soon started to handle my claim and I remember him telling me that people cant just get paid to sit at home. Well my doctor clearly stated I was not to return to work until I could see a specialist and I could get completely cleared. Well their Clinician looked and said I was cleared to return to work that they would no longer pay my benefits. Now I was unable to return for 2.5 more weeks, they would not accept any more documentation nor did they even wait for my doctor ************ I actually had to have a minor surgery that day. This company stated that a doctor release and disability are two different things. I would really like to know how a doctor that preformed a surgery isnt required to clear the patient before the disability nurse "thinks the person can return to work". Now please explain how this process works and please do explain how someone doesnt even wait for the appointments to be completed before making a nurse choses someone doesn't qualify. Also please address the customer service issues.
