Honestly the deserve zero stars, as the are the most worthless bank out there. What ever you do don't set up retirement plans with them. You have to break your back to get anything out of them and they will hold on to your money for dear life. I have a 401 K plan with them that allows me to with draw for medical hardships, but every time I try I have to have a heart attack just to get get the money that I'm suppose to be allowed very poor service. I don't recommend them at all.

OneAmerica took 15 months to review a QDRO. Finally get to fill out distribution forms, send in hard copies, and their people dont ensure all documents are scanned. So then I email the "missing" pages and I get another email stating that I need to resend signature pages. What happened to my personal information (banking info, ss#, etc) sent in as hard copies? It has been 3 weeks of them withholding the distribution pay out. **************** **** have no clue what is going on, no records of my calls, "lost" emails. Terrible customer service, poor internal communication, and poor handling of important personal information.

My father passed away in November. I have been trying to settle his beneficiary paperwork since the first of the year and it has been the most frustrating experience. When I have tried to call for updates, I have been hung up on or told incorrect information. Now I keep getting emails saying they need more information, but its the same information each time. The call center employees are either not documenting the notes correctly or the distribution team is not reading them accurately. It should not be this difficult to settle a beneficiary account. I will be so relieved when this is settled so I dont have to work with them again

************** this company is HORRENDUS to deal with - and by the reviews I can see I am not the only one who thinks that. Requested to withdrawl from MY account. Was sent confirmation and told 10 business days ( thought that was excessive but whatever). 10 business days go by and I have to call THEM ask why where MY money is. Was told there was a question about the taxes and someone was going to reach out that day ( the day the money was supposed to be in my account). After 3 days of being on the phone I finally got ANOTHER confirmation that it was going through. Only to be called the next day to be told that my company was now switching retirement companies. Seems like they use that excuse A LOT.

I started my process in July regarding my 401(k) rollover to my *** at Fidelity. It has taken almost five months, and I still havent received my check to deposit. They said they would send out the check soon, and it would arrive at my house within 12 business days. However, I have been waiting for more than two months and have called them four times, but I still havent received it.

No stars from me for One American....they can kiss my fat white ass! I applied for a residential loan on 11/4/2024. They agreed to the loan....I was trying to buy a house. I sent them the documents they requested and was told it would take about 4 business days for the check to come in the mail. It never showed up, closing date on this house that I already agreed to purchase is 12/5/2024. I called One America and was told my place of employment no longer is using One America that I would have to go get a loan with the new company my employer is using. Thank you One America for f****** me out of my house......what pieces of shit!!!!

I have had 2 policies with ****************************/One America for more than a decade. On Nov 1, I made beneficiary changes on both policies, via ********* Nov 12, I noticed 4 beneficiary change errors, in my online portal, made by One ************************** policy:1. My husband's address was not changed, per my request.2. Contingent beneficiary: one of my son's SSN was my husband's SSN.Another policy:1. My husband's address was not changed.2. Contingent beneficiary: one of my son's SSN was empty.I called, the first ******** was very impatient, told me that they hadn't finished updating my request (for 11 days?), it didn't matter with a wrong SSN for beneficiary, "we don't have a supervisor", then refused for me to talk to a supervisor, put me on hold forever & cut me off while she was "fixing the problems".I called back again; the 2nd ******** told me that everything would be corrected per my written request by another ****************, I noticed that SSNs were corrected, but my husband still had the wrong address listed on both policies. After submitting my request on Nov 1, four workers at One America had worked on my policy changes but still couldn't get it right after two weeks. Will my policy pay out, when I'm in need, due to record error made by One America?

I would not recommend this company, they do not have good customer service! Making a claim is hard, and tedious, and they don't seem to care.

Would leave no stars but of course that's not an option. The run around that this company has given two boys who lost their dad it's been almost 2 years and we are still fighting to get the youngest his. Took over a year and a half to get the oldest kids. They finally sent a check and put it in an estate for the youngest so the bank wouldn't take it because obviously he is alive. Called and again given the run around. Told it has to go for review so maybe end of next week till we hear something. Have asked for a supervisor always told there isn't one available. It should not take 2 years after someone has passed to complete this process! This company should be shamed of themselves. Completely uncaring and incompetent. Do not recommended this company. How they are even still in business with all these complaints and run around they give is beyond me.

If you're thinking about starting a retirement account with One **********************, don't. Even though it's your money, they won't let you access it unless you leave your employer, and according to the reviews and complaints I've seen so far, getting your money after leaving your employer might even be a difficult process
