      On Thursday March 6th 2025, I deposited a check for $4,605 into the ATM. Before, I finished the deposit the ATM asked if this check is deposited after 2pm you have to wait for the next business day for you to use it, do you wish to continue? I pressed the yes button. The next day on the 7th it showed that those funds were not available yet. On Saturday the 8th I called to ask what is the hold up on my funds they said it takes awhile because I used an ATM. I told them on the ATM it just says the next business day. I asked them how long is the hold and they said the funds won't be available until the 17th.

      We have investigated the member complaint ***********
      received on March 10th. Our review indicates that our member
      deposited a check into an ATM on 3/6/2025.   
      Normally, checks deposited via an ATM would be made available next day.
      However, when the check was reviewed the next day, we were unable to verify funds
      for the check which resulted in an extended hold being placed on the check. A
      letter (Notice of Deposit Hold) was sent to the member on 3/7/25.   We have record of the member contacting our
      Contact Center and a branch.  Removing
      the hold was evaluated, but it was determined that the hold needed to remain
      due to uncertainty of the collectability of the deposited check.  Our Team Members in the Contact Center and
      the Branch explained the reason and extended hold timeframe to our member. 

      Since receipt of this complaint, several Team Members have reached
      out to our member to explain the hold and have only been able to leave voice
      mail messages asking for a return call. To date, the member has not contacted
      us regarding this matter. Let us know if you have any questions or need
      additional information.   We can confirm
      that as of today, the hold has been released.   As well, as a one-time courtesy to our
      member, we have refunded courtesy pay fees that were charged as a result of the
      hold that was placed.  We appreciate that
      you have forwarded this complaint and hope these efforts have resolved the
      issue.

      I have never had an account with Centra credit Union and reached out for proof of account and they could not provide I would like this removed off my credit report immediately they have also not Provided contract for this account

      Our member has been contacted by a member of our Fraud Team as it appears this may be a case of Identity Theft.   It’s
      our understanding that the complainant will be going to one of our branches in
      the next couple of days to review and verify the documentation we have on file
      for this loan.  We will continue to research
      and resolve with the complainant, but wanted to ensure a response to the BBB within
      the required timeframe as it appears our research will not be finalized by
      then.
