    The first red flag should have been when my move-in got delayed twice, but I was desperate. After finally obtaining the keys and getting the electricity turned on, I discovered that the unit had not been properly cleaned. It was in such a terrible state that it took 3 people a month to get it clean enough for my special needs daughter to live there. I was advised to take picture and video evidence of everything, and I'm glad that I did. There were multiple issues, including a wasp issue, that I inquired about and were never taken care of. After experiencing financial difficulty, I ended up going through eviction with this company. The judge ordered an amount to be paid. I intended to use my security deposit to pay, but Pinnacle never returned my deposit. I thought they used it towards my balance, but apparently didn't. They have me in their system as owing more than 3 times as much as the judge ordered. I attempted to resolve the issue because their records, showing I still owe money, are making it difficult to find a new place to live. When I went to the office, the leasing agent/property manager started with dismissing me. When I tried to question further, she then started to get angry, yelled at me, told me I looked smug, made absurd accusations and then demanded I leave the office, including slamming the door behind me when I left. I tried to go to their other office location, but no one was there except a front desk person. The family in line in front of me stated that they had been trying since February to get the keys to their unit, but no one is ever in the office. How can something be resolved when no one is around to take care of it?

    Our hot water broke about 1 1/2 years ago and they installed a tankless hot water heater. It worked well for about 6 months then it's started to turn cold after you turned on the hot water it became cold after 30 seconds so we could not take showers except in cold water. This has been happening for the past year. Pinnacle Properties has sent over maintenance men to fix it 5 times and it has not been fixed. So we have been taking cold showers for the past year. This is unexceptabele no matter where you live. No house should have cold water to take a shower or wash dishes in cold water for a year.

    Our stove is not working property since February. We have to raise the temperature and have to have the food in the oven for twice as long as needed. The element in the oven olis not working property and one has not been ordered to replace the broken part and still they won't fix it or put a new range in our rental property.

    I gave a $1000.00 deposit to the landlord for a unit that they stated would be ready 2/16/24. I was told that I would sign my lease, pay the first month rent, and get my keys on that date. I did not hear from them the week of 2/16/24 so I tried contacting them via phone, when I was unable to contact them I physically went to the 2 offices located in Jeffersonville, IN for 4 days straight until I was able to speak with someone who then told me that they had just started on the unit and it would be a couple days. I was given a date of 3/1/24 as my next move in date, the same situation occurred with no communication and me having to chase them down just for a status of the unit. I was then given the move- in date of 3/15/24 stating that they were still waiting on appliances and that the contractor had to fix some issues in the unit. On 3/26/24 I contacted the landlord again and was told that they did not know when the unit would be ready and that I needed to contact corporate, I asked if there was anyway I could get my deposit refunded which they stated no. I contacted corporate who transferred me back to the local agent. When I called again the lady stated that she was blocking my number and I was no longer allowed to contact them, at that time I stated that I would reach out to an attorney regarding getting my deposit back. I have contacted several attorneys in the area who stated that they could not take the case due to conflict, I have applied for Indiana’s legal aid services just to get an attorney to help with the issue. I decided it file a BBB complaint to warn others of the shady, dishonest practices that this business engages in.

    For three years, I lived at **** ****** *** ************** ****** A few months before my lease expire, on October 31, 2023, I verbally told ***** ****** manager of the complex, that I will not renew the lease. Then, on September 10, 2023, I gave ***** the WRITTEN NOTICE letting her and corporate know that I will not renew the lease. That letter was given more than a month before the lease expired. (letter has to be summited a month before). At time of moving, ***** went to check the apartment and saw that apartment was spotless and in neat and immediate living condition. I waited for the 45 days that I was told I have to way for the refund of the deposit money. After that time, I emailed Corporate a few times and only once, they responded telling me that a letter was sent to me. I never received the letter, for which they said a copy will be resent to me. To this date, I haven't received no letter or nothing. I also contacted ***** to ask for my deposit money to which she responded that she has nothing to do with that. I kept emailing Corporate but no response has been provided. I also sent a letter thru certified mail with signature at time of receiving it, but still haven't hear from Corporate. I am seeking your intervention to get my deposit money back, since I complied with all the requisites stipulated on the lease and the apartment was left neat clean, nothing broken or missing and in living conditions.

    There has been numerous problems with our apartment since we moved in almost five years ago. When it rains really hard, our bedroom floods and nothing ever gets done to fix the problem. Carpets has been tearing over and over and needs replaced. A work order has been submitted months ago and nothing has come about from it. We are in the process of buying a house and called to get information on how much exactly is needed to buy out our contract and when money is needed amongst other things. The lady I talked to kept cutting me off over the phone not allowing me to ask important questions. The lady then proceeded to say that she doesn’t want to have this conversation anymore and hung up the phone. I have tried to called her 15 times afterwards to try and speak with her for information about leaving our apartment. She was very rude and inconsiderate over the phone and now I’m going to have to personally drive to there office which is out of my way to try and get ahold of someone that can guide me in the right direction without getting an attitude over the phone. This person or corporation needs to be held accountable for their actions. We simply wish for things to be fixed and information on exactly what needs to be done so we can move out. Our experience here has been completely terrible.

    I am filing this complaint due to the negligence of my home that I am currently renting from Pinnacle Properties. I have put in multiple work orders and spoke to multiple members of their staff regarding my issues. My back sliding glass door has been broken and stuck open for over 7months. I have been told over and over this issue would be resolved. I have expressed my concern to supervisors in hope of it getting fixed. I have two children and not only is it a safety issue, but it is also causing my Utility bills to increase significantly making it harder for me to afford the cost of my unit. The beginning of April I was bullied into resigning my lease, with promises of all issues being fixed. A long with the back door I have also express my concerns with multiple closest doors falling in my home due to no being installed correctly. I had a toilet overflow back in 2021 and a taking strip was pulled up, my 4-year-old has cut her feet multiple times on the exposed nails. I feel trapped in my lease and I want to be done with this company. I am asking for my First and Last months rent so I can find a safer more dependable place to live for me and my children.

    In August of 2022 I applied for an apartment in ******* **** I was assured this apartment would be ready by Oct 2 2022. I repeatedly kept trying to call and find the exact address so that I could set up the utilities and what not kept getting the run around of the apartment will be ready and someone will call you with the details. Mine you I have to put $700.00 to reserve an apartment. Come Oct 1st I call and get that the person that takes care of that property has no clue of a move in date of Oct 2 and that she will call when the apartment is ready. Lease is up with my other apartment so I had to find housing elsewhere. Tried to contact this company for a refund in late October and November and still have not received any reply. Run as far away from this rental property as they will rob you blind!!! This company is a scam!

    My stove and oven stopped working 11/24/2022 maintenance notified was told a "new," stove would be delivered on the following Monday (could not fix it). No call no show on Monday. Company refusing to answer 27 different calls placed. They just raised my rent $150.00 a month. Paid old rent amt r/t no stove. Once they rec'd the rent check, they actually called me wanting the 150 xtra or late fee. Person calling refused to give name cursed and yelled at me when I asked about stove, when I said I would record call they hung up after saying they will attach late fee. My new lease agreement says appliances are furnished, still don't have a stove! Not sure what to do or who to turn to. HELP PLZ
