      We have rented a water softener unit for several years and are only 2 people in the house and did not use much salt. We did not have salt delivered for over a year and 1/2 and when they came to service our unit in August of 2023 - they discovered our water was hard, our unit was not working and blamed us for not telling them. How were we supposed to know, we paid them for years in good faith that the unit was working but "we should have known" - a direct quote - that there was an issue. The manager was extremely rude and told me that we denied access to the unit because we "refused" salt delivery. I told him we did not need salt (not aware at the time it was because unit not really working) so why would we bother their drivers to bring in salt that was not needed? This business completely dismissed us as this was obviously our own fault, continued to dun us for money though I continually asked for some resolution and harassed us with repeated calls to collect while we were trying to work the matter out. We paid for years for soft water and we were not getting it -when the issue was discovered you would expect a respectable business to try to reach some sort of amicable agreement - they just treated us like we were nothing and not to be considered. Their management was rude, dismissive and insulting. I am sure they will say this is all our fault but there is evidence our water tested hard when it should not have due to their placement of the unit.
