They dug a trench in my basement to replace a pipe. Now every time it rains water comes in through where they dug and floods my basement. They have come several times to tell me that they didnt create the problem, but the problem didnt exist until they dug up against the wall.

We visited the home several times to assess the water issue and even provided clean up services. Another company (not **) did the concrete floor repair and did not grade concrete so the water would flow to the floor drain. The basement wall already leaked before our services were performed, the water just didnt puddle due to concrete being the right grade. We understand it is upsetting to deal with expensive home repair issues, however the customer became irate when the manager tried to explain what was happening and how it could be corrected.

We called Roto Rooter and had a tech come out to clear out a clog in our waste water line that was causing major drainage issues in the house. When the tech tried to clear the line, he could not get past a major clog. He said we needed to get "****" scheduled to a camera scope to verify issue. We were charged $300 on Dec. 7th for this service, and it did not improve the drainage at all. That said, we scheduled through Roto Rooter to get the bad section of the line replaced on 12/21. **** and I verbally discussed over the phone that he thought the cost could be up to $8,000 - $9,000 depending on the situation once the line was dug up. I never got anything in writing before the work was done to break down the specific costs, even though I repeatedly requested cost break downs. On 12/21 the work was completed, and the contractor had me sign for the work right before he left - still not leaving any kind of actual statement or cost break down. Then, I received work from Roto Rooter that the project cost was $9724.21. This seemed very high for what my wife and I the workers do that day. I have tried numerous times to call and get the project costs broken down in a statement, but I have gotten nothing but a vague paragraph with nothing broken down as to what the costs actually were - just that the total was $9724.21, My questions:1.) how deep was the line? Initially I was told 12, then 8 feet. On the day of the work, the hole that was dug was barely over the head of the workers - no way it was 12 or 8 feet deep.2.) ****'s vague paragraph mentioned "up to 10 feet of line replaced, gravel, tile, etc. What was actually replaced? It looked much shorter than 10 feet, we saw no gravel, etc. 3.) In researching other similar projects and bigger, the averages were around $4,000 - $5,000. Why is this project double that? I have serious doubts since they are unwilling to provide an actually cost breakdown statement. I only got an "invoice" after the work.
