Always Underground was subcontracted to do boring work for ***** They damaged sewer lines on 5 houses. They accepted responsibilities for the external damages and have made some repairs, but are not willing to accept any responsibility for damages to inside of homes. They were made aware the night the damage occured and failed to acknowledge, until after complaints were made with ******************************** The owner stopped responding to emails. I set a meeting with the mayor of our town who Always Underground says is liable for the damages due to non-locating of utilities. It seems that they only want to play the blame game. They had to remove a driveway and also a mature apple tree that provided income and shade for a home. I have been transparent in communication with the hope of a resolution to the stalemate. I understand that mistakes happen and I am very forgiving. The fact they accept responsibility for external damage to homes, but not the internal damage seems very absolutely shady, but after reading the other review it sounds like standard operating procedure for this company. I gave them a 1 star because 0 stars was not an option.

He is correct. We hit sewers that were not marked properly by the city and they actually have 2 sewer lines running from the house which is illegal.

This company called in an 811 ticket to do work in the back of our easement. I understand that sometimes they subcontract out and that is what happened in this case. Their subcontractor, though I do believe it was an accident cutting the communications line, what they did after was not. They did not report the cut line to 811 to generate an 811 damage ticket that would alert our communications company that repairs were needed ASAP. Instead, they reburied it and left. No notice to the homeowners in the area, no notice to *************************, AND they were working on an expired 811 locate per 811. I talked with the project manager and he was anything but willing to 1. accept responsibility and 2. come to a satisfiable solution. Instead he hung up on me.
