WARNING: DO NOT GO TO PRIORITY RADIOLOGY—EVER.
I’m sharing my experience to hopefully protect others from this company’s disorganized, harmful, and possibly illegal practices.
I had an MRI at Priority Radiology in May 2024. I have excellent insurance, and the MRI was preauthorized. Priority was in-network, meaning they are contractually required to follow certain rules—one being timely claim filing.
I provided my insurance info three separate times: when scheduling, on my patient forms, and again at the appointment. My MRI should have been 100% covered, as I’d already met my deductible.
Months later, I was stunned to learn I’d been sent to collections by Priority’s in-house agency, GLA, for $2,551. I called GLA and discovered Priority never submitted the claim to my insurance. GLA asked for my insurance info (again), sent the claim, but it was denied because it was filed too late—a direct violation of Priority’s contract with the insurer.
I spoke to the office manager, who admitted they failed to send the claim and had indeed had my insurance info all along. She asked me to file an appeal with my insurance, which I did—even though this mess wasn’t mine to clean up. The appeal confirmed I owed $0 and that the provider may not bill me due to their own late filing.
I heard nothing else after that—no bills, no calls. I assumed it was resolved.
Fast forward to June 2025: I get an alert that my credit score dropped nearly 100 points. **Priority Radiology sent the same $2,551 to collections again—this time reported to the credit bureaus—**with zero notice to me. Despite doing everything right, I was financially punished for their error.
Sadly, I’m not alone—check other reviews and you’ll see this is a pattern. Priority Radiology is either dangerously negligent or deliberately predatory. Either way, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
