This complaint is connected to an insurance claim from October 15, 2022. A tree fell on and went through my house. It is a rather large claim. I have issued cashier's checks to my contractor during each phase of this process. He has had my siding and guttering materials deposit since June 2023 and July 2023. I verified with my bank they cleared the same day. He has lied numerous times, given empty promises and lackluster workmanship. He hasn't even ordered all of the materials and delayed the process repeatedly. I want *********** back. $11, ******. I have written numerous emails, texts and discussed it with my insurance company and an attorney. I have learned I may not be the only person who has been treated this way. I want my funds back so I can get my house restored with a local company who can get materials in 1 week and has installers willing to complete the job. This doesn't include the extra time I needed a storage pod, the cracks in the drywall from his workers, extra costs his team caused by cutting new electrical work and other things. ****** his name and the ********, there is an article you must read. This was discovered after the fact. He promised it would be started over the summer, then October and done by the end of October. I have the text evidence. He didn't order some of the products as I called the supplier myself to ease my mind. I need my house completed so my 97 year old grandmother can move in with me. She needs settled since my parents died in 2021.I want my insurance deposit funds to be used for the intended materials and restoration of my home. He should have it if he didn't put the deposit down witha company. I'm not sure what he has done with it. Please advise.

This siding project is underway and will be complete shortly, within several days if weather allows. While we respect our client's concerns, the only factor that delayed this project was related to supply chain issues. We upgraded her to a special-order siding color that took much longer to receive than is typical, due to severe storms that affected western ******* this year. Once our supplier made us aware that the siding would not arrive in the usual timeframe, we connected our client with our sales rep and management at *************** which confirmed to her that the siding was ordered shortly after she determined a color and that they and all of their contractor customers were dealing with shortages and back-orders due to the significant number of homes that suffered storm damage in 2023. They took many calls from her, in which they provided updates and explained there was no way to get that siding any quicker than we did. We understand it can be frustrating to wait on materials, as it was frustrating for us also.

We feel some of the complaint is a bit misleading, in that the client referenced her claim occurring in 2022, however, we did not become involved in the job until mid-2023, after she and another previous contractor had a falling out. Her statement makes it appear that we have been involved in this job much longer than we have.  She initially provided a deposit for roof work, a project, in which we also went above and beyond in trying to be helpful. We completed that work quickly and did extra work moving items out of her garage into a storage unit at no charge, because she was too busy to do it. The siding deposit was provided later than the roof deposit, meaning siding could not be ordered until an additional round of storms had occurred locally and the supply chain was significantly affected.

We also sympathize that she is caring for her grandmother, but that has no bearing on siding replacement which is cosmetic and has no affect on the functionality and livability of the home's interior. There was a statement made that some materials were not ordered. That is also incorrect. Some materials were not delivered in the same delivery as the special order that came on one truck, because we already had them from another vendor.

The important thing now is that the project is nearly complete, we are in regular communication with the homeowner, and things are going smoothly. We appreciate her concerns and are working diligently to complete this job for her.
