  A month ago I got a contract for them to do ******* worth of service. I e never heard from them again!!!! They took $696.00 check from me and it has been cashed. I've called repeatedly and goes to voice mail and says mail box full and won't take a message. I think I've been scammed. What should I do? They have my $696.00 check.*****************

  Good evening, ************, your work has been on our schedule, and should be occurring soon. We did receive your deposit of $696 during the 2nd week in August. At that time, our project manager **** indicated that we were about 4 weeks out, but weather is always a factor and we would contact you a day or two before we started. Your review came 4 weeks and 2 days after we took your deposit. Many local companies are months out on work. Based on the jobs ahead of yours and some rain days over the past few weeks, your job is likely to occur during the first half of next week and may even occur this weekend.Im sorry you had not received an update, but we were running pretty close to the timeline we initially provided. **** provided his business card to you with his number as your primary contact, but he indicated this evening that he has received no calls from you. You may have had trouble with one of our lines having full voicemail at some point due to extremely high call volume after recent heavy storms. I apologize if that occurred and that we had not provided another update sooner.Your job is on our schedule, and I can assure you that we are no scam. Readers of the local newspaper have rated us one of the top 3 roofing companies in the area for several years, and all our online ratings are highs. We are simply very busy, as we are one of our regions top roofing and siding companies; and our crew is working long hours every day except Sundays to get jobs done as quickly as we can while providing quality work. We are a locally owned small business doing the best we can at all times. My fianc and I answer a lot of the calls ourselves and may have fallen behind on a couple days, because we recently moved into a new house here in ***********. Weve had a lot going on with the move and school starting again for our two boys.Im not sure which number you called, other than it not being your project managers, or how many days you tried calling. If you ever have trouble with an office line, please call your project manager. Or, we have places for people to send us messages on our Web site, ******** page, and via e-mail. This is the first we have seen of your concern via any of these methods of communication.We certainly consider you important to us, and we plan to complete the small soffit and siding repairs in less than a week, and then the gutter company with which we are partnered will follow through ASAP with their work. They, too, have been far out on jobs because they have been in business so long and are so reputable that they are extremely busy.We strive to be a company of high integrity and complete all our jobs as quickly as possible. This is actually the first time in our existence that anyone has suggested we accepted their money and not perform the work. Its simply never happened. We are glad to discuss the job with you anytime. We just had to complete the many jobs for customers that committed to work prior to you, before we could start yours.Thanks and best wishes, ****
