Amount Paid:Approximately $35,000 (includes purchase price, tax, title fees, and dealership add-ons for a Forest River Surveyor Legend 260BHLE), plus additional medical expenses and lost work time related to unresolved defects. What the Business Committed to Provide:Zoomers RV sold us a brand-new, fully functional, and safe RV for full-time use during a cross-country work assignment, assuring us it had passed inspection and was in working order.Nature of the Dispute:Immediately after purchase, we encountered serious safety and mechanical issues: repeated ********** alarms, a failing hot water system, faulty door mechanisms, and a black tank sensor that doesnt function. Forest River corporate later confirmed (via a recorded call) that Zoomers had submitted a warranty claim for these exact issues before our purchase proving the units defects were known and undisclosed.Weve since dealt with emergency medical care for suspected CO exposure, ongoing alarm incidents, lack of heat or hot water, and out-of-pocket travel for service all within the first two weeks of ownership.Has the Business Tried to Resolve the Problem? No. Despite multiple calls and voicemails to Zoomers RV including to owner **** ****** only the service manager responded, and was unable to offer a solution. Weve received no written response, follow-up, or help coordinating repairs or a replacement.Advertising Involvement:The RV was advertised as new, safe, and immediately ready for full-time use. No prior repairs or defects were disclosed in writing or during the sale.

Summary Put a deposit of $**** on an RV after talking to Zoomers Dan B******. We were told that the RV we were purchasing could have warranty service performed at ANY authorized dealership -- "just like ALL auto dealerships" provide warranty service on autos not purchased from them. Again, Dan ensured us of this with numerous documented communications. We then discovered that local Authorized dealers could (and in our case WOULD) DECLINE warranty work UNLESS purchased from them. This completely contradicted Dan's comments -- NO local dealers would perform Warranty work. Zoomers is 230 miles from our home, so this was critical purchasing point -- as we didn't want to drive almost 500 miles (round trip for service) and typically this would be close to 1000 miles for service due to repairs often require unit to be left there (so double trips). Hence, the importance of Dan's comments of how Warranty service would be handled. The deposit was non-refundable -- and we had every intention of taking delivery but were mislead. Dan ensured us that any Authorized Dealer had to perform warranty work (we have lots of communications that he continuously enforces his argument). Dan was wrong on all counts after direct discussions with Forest River. We have additional communications to show that he had mislead -- obviously, just for the sale.
