  I have lived at the Southridge Apartments in Kansas City, KS since April 2022. As a whole they have been a good help with most things. There have been a couple of management companies that weren't good, but they didn't stay long. This was a blessing. Now I'm going into year 4 with Southridge Apartments and management seems to be getting better. With my newly renewal process there was some confusion about my correct lease contract. This wasn't caused by Southridge but by old information and contract I had with my son with RentCafe from 2021, which was being added to my upcoming contract with Southridge that caused confusion. My son did not get to lease that rental property but the old rental information some how caused a mess. But Southridge Apartments was very helpful in getting it resolved and I appreciate them helping me to get the right corrected lease contract. The honesty, help and assistance of this property management was truly a blessing. I pray that they continue to help and give assistance to other clients that also may be going through confusing situations. The Vida Property Management has proven that they do care and want to help their clients as needed. I'm glad this was quickly resolved. Maintenance has also been pretty good at helping to work with us. The only thing as I can see now is some of my older appliances which have been in my apartment may need some updates or changes for better service and use. I appreciate how they are trying to work with the residents and provide a better living experience.

  This was the worst apartment I ever lived at. I moved here about a year ago I asked for the renovated unit I kept asking to see the apartment before I got my keys or put the deposit down the lady said she couldn’t because it was ready. I seen the apartment the day I moved in when I walked in the unit it was the wrong apartment I asked for and paid for it was infested WITH roaches non stop. I went up to the office the next day and told her I want to switch units she told me she has nothing to do with that and pest control will come. I spent over $500 just to bomb the apartment spent $100’s over my own pest control. The management sucks. Couple months later I came home to 2 mice dead under my bed and I went up to the office again and asked for a new unit they said yes and told me to sign transfer papers only mind you I paid $1000 deposit they verbally did not tell me I was re signing my lease and I told them multiple times I do not want to renew the lease I just want to switch until my lease ends. Months later I found out they moved my lease and I asked if I can have my first apartment lease without messing anything up CRISTINA said yes nothing will mess up and I will get my money back..I only got $295 back and their saying it’s my fault. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM SOUTHRIDGE APARTMENTS I will be contacting health department/ lawyers.

  Christina Mayo, Is the main manager and I talked to her a total of 2 times while living there a full year, during my conversation with her, she was very upset I was not renewing my lease. This quickly turned into her calling me very outrageous names and being very racist to me and my family. I have told upper management about her and they claimed she is all they got so "deal with it". I would not suggest this rat infested place full of terrible management systems that will hate you if you don't renew your lease, would never recommend this place to anyone.

  The SouthRidge Apartments look to be an okay place to live but after I moved in I quickly found out that there are, either rats, squirrels, skunks or mice, that crawl all day and all times of the night, all throughout the ceiling in my apartment. It sounds like as if they are digging through the wall. It’s also us roach ?? infested , and has this old smell that I think has something to do with the wood material being infested with roaches. I hate living here. They won’t do anything about this. I have made verbal complaints directly to the branch manager, but she always gives me some sobbing story about a trap that was. Obviously no trap has been set and if there was a trap, it needs to be checked daily, because there several of these rodents up there living where my family sleeps. This is not professional and it needs to be addressed by someone with authority over Apartment Business.
