I am a 66 year old that is still on work medical coverage. On February 14 I spoke with ******** **** with ****************** to get information on medigap plans in my area as I wanted to enroll in medicare part B in the general election. In looking at medicare website I truly believed I could enroll at that time even though I did have work coverage that i was not in danger of losing but wanted to enroll in medicare part b and drop work coverage then add gap once that was done. I told *** **** the above info that I did not currently have part b and he knew I had active work plan that was not in danger of losing but did want to drop would need a qualify life event to drop was wanted to sign up for medicare B then produce the medicare card so can drop. ** **** had already give me general info on the plans and must have felt he had wasted time with me cause he first said that I cannot use the general election then instead of explaining to me he said I can add medicare at any time and he would take care of it He completed the medicare for to give them ( and I saw later that it was wrong form for general election. but for loss of coverage but I cannot prove loss of coverage because my company is not going to drop my work coverage. Then he said we had to do the medigap and part d plan and better to do now before I enroll in part B because then it would be ready and I believed him. But I have not spoken to other people someone at my senior service center in my town and another agent and they said he never should have gotten me signed up because I may not be able to enroll in part b without a loss of coverage which means I could not take part B until 2026. I still not spoken to medicare about part b yet I made an appointment beginning of year but medicare could not give me an appointment earlier than February 26, 2025. so now I have this application in to Aflac for part n and Cigna for part d and I do not even have a medicare part B HELP

I had a scheduled call today with the Medicare school and the idea was they were to help me pick out the best plan the person that scheduled the call told me I should leave United Health Care when I got this scheduled call. The guy offered me no advice other than just stay with the plan you’re on. He didn’t offer to compare any plans. He didn’t offer anything then three people hung up on me then the supervisor said he’s not gonna do business with me. I guess because I said you’re not helping me with anything very disappointing company just a bunch of top-notch nasty brokers trying to make money off of people nothing new highly highly dysfunctional company.

    Hi,

This is our first BBB complaint in almost 5 years of being in existence with nearly 50k (happy) customers served, so I'm not exactly sure how this process works or how much documentation to provide (Call recordings, etc?). I'm happy to provide it all.

**** set an appointment with one of our medicare brokers, and then on the call, instead of trying to sell her a plan that was worse than the plan she was on, we recommended she stay where she was... Because in our opinion she was on the best plan for her needs in her area.

I'm not sure how that makes us a bunch of nasty people trying to make money off of people, when we literally didn't try to sell her a plan to make a commission as many scummy brokers would do.  We did the opposite... but somehow we're at fault and money-hungry?

She called in to our office and harassed us 8-10 times after her appointment, using profanity at people on my team, and bragging about who she was and how important she was, and how she runs a 'non-profit' etc. She was belligerent on phone calls with managers. Impossible to talk to rationally.

I'm just glad we didn't do business with her, otherwise we'd have to service her policy, and she seems impossible to please. Maybe it's just a bad day, or a bad life... but somehow we're getting blamed for it.  It will be a different company tomorrow (check out her history of google reviews... there's a pattern).

BBB ~ Consider looking at our google reviews to see what normal people think of us: **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

    Trust Pilot: ****************************************************

    Facebook: **************************************************

Let me know what information we need to provide to debunk this false claim. I wish her nothing but the best, and hopefully she will be able to find someone who will sell her a plan to make a commission off of her like she seems too so ardently desire.

    Cheers!

    Hi ****,

You haven't paid my team anything or done any business with you, so I don't know how you can argue we owe you anything. It's a free country and if we choose to not to do business with a person because of their behaviour and how they treat our team, we reserve the right to make that choice.

I'm not sure why you continue to state we purchase reviews. I've never done that in my 15 years in business.

BBB ~ would you like us both to provide our call recordings for you to review?

Please advise how we can best get this issue resolved?

    Thank you!

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  well, let’s see it was very easy for you to point the finger at me. I love it when large corporations stand behind their employees that are ruthlessly mean and unprofessional and blame the public. I responded to your rude employee. Please stay on task. You’re rude employee not only was rude. Told me I was in the correct plan and then refused to talk about the plan or any other plans. That is why I was, defending myself against your employee trying to get your employee to please review the plans. I took half a day off work to wait for the call was excited for the call and Instead was greeted with an unprofessional sales rep by the way what is his license number? I’ll just turn him into the state . You need to monitor your employees instead of blame the public shame on you.

i’ve been human rights activist for over 25 years and I’ve seen nothing other than large corporations blame the individual when they get caught. That’s a very old game to play with anyone. Your employee was rude again I responded your employees, lack of empathy, lack of professional behaviors, and lack of desire to even want to review any plans that’s the core issue you’re not going to get off the topic by changing the subject and blaming me. This is your employees’s fault. I will accept nothing less than an apology from your employee and by the way again I need his license number for the state. I think they would like to hear about this one thank you.

    Sincerely,

    **** ******
