I have used LBA to service my home’s HVAC systems for over 10 years. They have always been responsive, knowledgeable and fair. Recently, AndySnapp was my technician and he was very courteous, efficient, and detailed.
    I recommend LBA.

Patrick K****** found the leaking water heater this morning. Two gentlemen arrived about 1015 to install the new water heater. This house is on a slab so the water was leaking into the living room. Thank you LBA.

Jared came in to team with Patrick to assess issues with air flow. He was able to come up with a non intrusive solution. He explained very well what was the problem and how to fix it! Got a great deal on a new AC and ductwork. Getting it done tomorrow!

Enjoyed chatting with Jared; he was also very flexible and generous with his time which we greatly appreciated. He, too, was great with our dogs which always wins points!!

LBA called and offered a free inspection of our Ruud furnace, which they installed 2018. Johann, a polite young guy, showed up on Friday morning, Feb 7th. About 20 minutes later, I wandered downstairs. I heard him on the phone say, "I'll inform the homeowner about it." He explained that there are holes in the heat exchanger and showed me a photo on his cell phone. He said that he was calling for his supervisor, Adam, arrived about 20 minutes later.
They explained that the replacement heat exchanger had to be shipped from NC and that legally, they had to turn off my furnace because of CO danger. They said that they could bring over some space heaters until the repairs could be completed. Having our furnace shut off was not going to work for my family with mid-February temps in the 20s. They said that if I agreed to duct cleaning, they could bundle the services and lower the $3,700+ heat exchanger replacement price.
I called Rick Beebe Heating and Cooling, a Ruud “Pro-Partner". They were at my house in a couple hours. Coming in the door, they told me that it's unlikely that there are holes in the heat exchanger. I watched as they videoed the inside of the furnace. CO readings were non-detect – LBA didn’t take any readings. Beebe told me that the LBA guys might have had the photos and videos of the holes in the heat exchanger stored on their cell phones. Probably true. I paid them $200 – much preferable to the LBA alternative.

Moral of the story....Always get a second opinion, even if these folks sound knowledgeable and create uncertainty by snowing you with hard to understand information, and have you convinced that it's urgent that you your family is in danger if you don’t immediately agree to let them “fix” your (non) problems.

Note - a similar scam common in this area involves sanitary sewer line replacement. Don't hire rooter companies that also do the sewer line replacement construction work. It's a conflict of interest.
