      Way to hot in the clubs.Air conditioners do not work .And equipment is always broke.Save your money and join another gym.They do not care about their memebers and our concerns.

      I had my membership here for a year and a half. I went in to this location, filled out paperwork canceling my membership. I was told I will be billed one more month and then I shouldn't get billed anymore. I've been billed for the past two months after that before catching it I called this location and told them what happened and they told me I never filled out paperwork, l'm like you can pull up the video footage of that day. I was with my friend. We're both heavily tattooed. I'm blonde. She's Burnett.
      I can tell you exactly what to look for. They told me there's no proof that that was me. They would cancel my membership immediately, but I would not get a refund for the past 3 months.
      They offered me a three month credit which I have zero interest in ever going to another genesis again. As such a big company, you would think that little money would be better to just refund me, then hurting their reputation.

      Wouldn't cancel membership when asked, now they are saying I can't cancel membership without paying for two months. Joining this gym was the worst decision I have ever made, now I just want them to go away and leave me alone.

      Genesis HealthClub's promises of well-being are marred by a disturbing culture of negligence and silence. After enduring a head injury and theft in their facilities, attempts to communicate were met with deafening silence. Staff members, seemingly under orders, avoid discussing members' concerns, preferring to ignore problems until they vanish. This callous attitude not only neglects member safety and satisfaction but also erodes trust in the establishment. Genesis HealthClub's failure to address issues head-on speaks volumes about their priorities and their commitment to member well-being.

      I would avoid this club at all costs

      I singed up for a one year subscription and I tried to cancel and give them a 60 day notice. They kept telling me I had to come back and do it the day my subscription expired. So I did and they claimed I had to pay them another 2 months for BS reasons. I do not recommend this company at all. Oh and the gyms are nasty dirty and they do high pressure sales to try and get you to use a personal trainer.

      There are customer (members) who are being discriminated against and/or stigmatized because of the way they look and/or because of the way they do their workout. Leave people alone, and let them do their workouts as they see fit without having to be ashamed of the way they're doing it. If this doesn't improve, then I MIGHT stop coming to Genesis for good.

      Absolutely worst Gym I have ever been a part of there seems to be one theme, you must come in to cancel but that’s usually after a few months of saying they’d cancel your membership with no mention of coming into the gym, luckily, I have documented each and every time that I sent them a cancellation notice since March 2024 their company automatically bounces back any email that you sent them and it documents what you sent into them I even have voicemail messages from their manager twice stating that he understood I was trying to cancel my membership and on the second time he left a message she stated I needed to come in too sign paperwork to cancel the membership. Well, that would’ve been nice. If you would’ve said that in March whenever I cancel it now being made and you’ve charged me for three more months that I haven’t been there, I don’t live near the gym anymore in that state at all and I will not be going in to cancel the membership. I signed it online and sent it to them. Anyone else having issues with this gym contact channel 9 on your side investigates they’re already beginning of story on them make sure you save every voicemail and every single email because they will act like they didn’t receive the email even though they’re the ones with the IP address.
      One would assume that this company is so desperate for money that they don’t have anything else they can do to receive funds to keep it going their CEO/shareholders must be completely unsuccessful human beings.

      Member reached out in March about frustration over not having key tags
      Our manager Justin tried to contact multiple times - her VM isn't set up and email since auto response back, she won't be checking until March 2025
      She did mention wanting to cancel - Justin texted her since VM wouldn't work and Justin told her she would need to come into the club -

      She has been emailing this month about cancelling - yesterday I emailed her the C2C and she signed and sent back - she did date it 3/1/24 although it was signed yesterday 5/16/24

      We waived the 30 day notice in a good will effort. She requested refunds for April and May which I told her she would not be receiving.

      I tried calling yesterday got the same VM not set up as Justin did, When emailing I also got the auto response that she wouldn't be checking email until March 2025

      I offered twice for her to call me to discuss, she said "leave me alone and stop contacting me" so at that point I processed the cancellation and waived 30 day notice.

      Did not cancel membership when requested. Claims did not receive email. Email did not return back to me so I know they received it. I resent to the same address after discovering membership was not cancelled and it went thru. They charged me for 4 months and now wanting to charge another month.

      I have been having an ongoing issue with Genesis, going on 5 months now with being overcharged. I cancelled my son's daycare on December 4, 2023, and was told that I was one day within the 30 day window so I had to pay it for December, and January still. Whatever. Fine. February comes, I'm still being charged for the daycare package. I go in and ask for a refund, but they can't do that. They can only make me wait, another 30 days, to get my refund in the form of a discounted month for the following month. Whatever. Fine again. It's a matter of $30, so this complaint is really more about the principle of business ethics. March comes, still the wrong amount, no discount. I go in, again, on March 3rd (almost a month ago), ask for an update and clarification and correction. I ask for a refund at this point, I don't want to wait for another month for this refund. Well here we are, one month later, this refund still has not been processed to my bank account. I'm done with Genesis. This experience has been ridiculous - I'm not even going to mention the cleanliness of the gym since Genesis took over, either. Find anywhere else to work out at.
