    My boyfriend was in his vehicle and the vehicle was on. It’s not illegal to tow a car while it’s running but it IS illegal to tow a car with someone in it. I had gotten off at 4am from my shift while he had just gotten there to pick me up, but fell asleep. I noticed his truck hooked up to the tow truck and no one outside, and no windows down in the tow truck. I was standing outside trying to call him very confused at what was going on. I finally walked up to the window and noticed he was asleep and then when I went to the tow truck they said “we were waiting for you to come to us.” Huh??? Then I preceded to tell them that he had fallen asleep and wasn’t in this lot for longer than 20 minutes. They haven’t left the lot with the vehicle and we’re just sitting there. They told me they “didn’t know he was in the car” and then told me I had to pay to release the vehicle. So I paid, not knowing that it was illegal. I then told my boss and other co-workers who told me to call because that was illegal. When I called they were EXTREMELY rude and told me they didn’t care. I told them it was illegal to do that and I could pull the cameras for them. The person I was speaking with was the supervisor who then said “well I told them to hook it up even though we knew he was in there.” Again, I told him that is illegal (which he definitely knows) and that I would just like the money back I was charged for. He told me he wasn’t having this conversation and he didn’t care if it was ILLEGAL!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I finally submitted a police report about the company who I’ve had major problems with because they continuously say that they don’t care if something’s illegal or wrong. I wish I cared about the money to write this review, but I’m writing this because he was very rude and hung up on me, after telling me he knew his company was doing something illegal.
