I subscribed to the magazine, which I love, and never received a single issue. I tried contacting them and got no response. I spent $49.62 in May of 2021.Initial Complaint

I placed an order for a magazine issue on the first week of January 2023. (I cannot find the precise date as I was never sent a confirmation email) The charge went through. It is now almost a month later and I have not received anything. I have sent an email to the Folk team and have not received a response. I have also since learned through social media that most of what they're doing is an outright scam. I truly wish they could be shut down for good so that honest people will not be able to shop with them (like I was), thinking they are supporting a small publishing business.
I am simply waiting on my bank to refund my purchase, and will let everyone in my channels know that this is an unfortunate scam.Initial Complaint

I ordered a special Christmas issue of a magazine from FOLKmagazine on November 11, 2022. It’s been over two months and I haven’t received it nor any communication about it. I’ve emailed several times and reached out through social media. They will not return my messages. Their telephone number is out of order as well. They have taken my money without fulfilling my order and refuse to respond to me. They charged me $6.01 for this issue.Initial Complaint

I have still not received my order. I was charged $41.04 on August 13 for my order. They have not shipped the products I purchased nor refunded my card if the order could not be fulfilled. I placed an order on 10/6/22 for 20 jars of different jams, butters, jelly, and sorghum; a print, and a candle. I emailed them on 10/20/22, 10/27/22, and 10/31/22 to two different email addresses listed on their website and emails asking for an update on my order as I had no received anything more than a confirmation. I received no response to any of the emails. Their website says a full refund will be provided if order is not received within 2 weeks. I had to file a complaint with my credit card in the beginning of November for a refund. They are currently still waiting to hear back from Folk. On 11/25/22, I randomly received a box with 10 jars in it. Four jars were not labeled. Three jars were the wrong product. One had a label from another company. 10 jars, the candle, and the print were all missing. As of 11/27/22, I have not received a response from this company.Initial Complaint

I ordered from Folk on 9/29 and have yet to receive my order. I have made multiple attempts to contact them via email and ******** to resolve my delivery issue and I not only have received no response but my email has been blocked from their server.

I have reached out multiple times in multiple ways on multiple platforms asking for a response to why the items i paid for haven’t been shipped out. I have been ignored completely. The company folk magazine and the owner *** ***** have been doing this since 2011 under different names and companies. There are thousands of people out of their hard working money and he still continues to scam and send out emails weekly. I purchased some t shirts from the company on 8/11/22 after not receiving a shipping number after a month i reached out to see what the hold up was. And never got a response. My confirmation email was the last email I received concerning my order. My order number is (##***********). I spent 24.63 on 8/11 and have not received a refund or any of my product as of today 9/26. I found an instagram page dedicated to warning people of folk magazine the company and the owner *** *****. I submitted an order ( #***********) of three t-shirts from Folk Magazine's online store (https://www.folkgeneral.com/) on August 7, 2022. I was charged $22.63, also on August 7.
On Friday, August 26, I received a copy of Folk's most recent magazine. There was no note accompanied explaining the status of my shirt order.
I emailed Folk customer service on August 26 inquiring about the status of my order. After receiving no response, I emailed customer service again on August 31, September 2, September 7, and finally September 19. As of today, September 19, I have not received the products I paid for, a response from the company, or a refund.
