    I have multiple family members buried at this cemetery. Great grand parents, cousins as well as my grandparents owning plots at this cemetery for when they die (purchased years ago) and these owners are not taking care of anything that they promised!! They are not maintaining any of the stones. Many of the headstones are sinking in and falling in. Lots of vases cracked and broken as well as headstones from being ran over with mowers and equipment. None of the grass or weeds are being cut. Even the two rooms with the mausoleum is filled with debris rocks and trash. There is never anybody in the office to address concerns or complaints. My grandparents also purchased there headstone about a year ago and it still has not been placed!! Very disrespectful and awful ownership.

    To whom it may concern, 

    In response let me address each point.  Congratulations for your family to own so many lots! The promises you are speaking of I am assuming you are talking about the perpetual care on the deed?  Please read the small print carefully. The deed is with those individuals and what they purchased. Since Green Hill owns the land, it is really a lease, and that includes everything that sits on it. We honor all contracts even though we legally do not have to because of the fraud from the former owner. Meaning that we honor what was purchased such as vaults, markers etc. at our expense since the former owner got the money not us.

    There are over 8000 people buried at Green Hill and sometimes the mowing and weed eating is a challenge, however we do the best we can even after several thefts that we have had to endure and replace equipment. Just because it isn't in a timeframe of someone's choosing doesn't make it wrong. The cemetery is not abandoned nor neglected.

    The markers are bronze on granite and some are quite old. The effects of the elements are just that and over time they will sink. That's the nature of them being outside however most cemeteries deal with this issue at some point including the cracked granite. We are not city funded nor get money from the state like a city cemetery would and so again we do what we can.

    The mausoleum has birds that love it! It is an ongoing thing to have to clear it out and it is cleaned out regularly. Our man that usually does that has had a stroke and been in the hospital and we will be getting to it. Trash usually doesn't accumulate there and so I will check on that myself.

    Our office hours are posted on the door to the main office and unless I have a meeting in ********* or something personal to attend to I am there. You may have been going to the flower shop next door. It is not manned everyday, however purchases can be made.

    You mention your grandparents marker but did not list a name so if you would like to reach out to the office phone ********** I can help you with that.

    We are sorry that you found our business unsatisfactory.  If our attempts going forward are not good enough than we can always discuss other remedies to the situation.

    My mother and fathers head stone and placard are completely missing. I asked about what happened and was told it was broken and being ordered to replace it. That was in December of 2023 and it is still missing.

    My name is **************** my grandparents, *******************, and *********************** are buried at Greenhill Memorial Gardens in ************ ********. We have had nothing but problems with them one to start out with my grandmother when she passed away some years ago her grave stayed sunken lopsided. They were very disrespectful with my grandmothers grave. Her heads down was found on the maintenance building, it wasnt set when it came in her stone sunk down into the ground to the point that we had to take it up our self then my grandfather passed away theyre not keeping the yard mowed. Theyre also very disrespectful when it comes to why theyre not doing it and also my grandfathers date of death has not been put on his head stone We paid for it when I bought the headstone for my grandmother, so it was already paid for years in advance before his death and *** called up there numerous times and she said shes not sure why they havent came and done it. Shes called them and theyve went out of business and then another excuse was they didnt have time to do it another excuse was that they were all booked up and now shes just not answering the phone . I would like to be reimbursed for the carving of the date of death on this headstone because we have been waiting for months for it to be put on there. I am about ready to take the cemetery to court. Im absolutely tired of dealing with the situation and Im sure that I mentioned that they are very disrespectful at the cemetery and to be at all, my grandparents are on the military side and they still dont take care of military people either along with all my other loved ones ****** that we have on the outside very sad that they cannot respect the dead

    This is in response to the complaint by ********************************* in Aug or Sept. 2023

    My name is *****************************, and I am one of the owners of Green Hill Memorial Gardens. We are very familiar with ******* at this point. When her marker issues were first brought to my attention, I called her personally and she was very nice over the phone, and we discussed her marker death date and the time frame. Local companies outsource this type of work, and it is on THEIR schedule not ours. I cannot make them move any faster once it is submitted. What ******* took as excuses were factual. I was never rude or unprofessional. In fact, Green Hill went above and beyond by allowing the family to get a granite only marker instead of bronze on granite that is required at our cemetery, because the family didn't have the funds for the bronze on granite. Due to *******'s claim to be highly inconvenienced at a time went forth and rallied people in the community against Green Hill for what she claimed was neglect of the cemetery on our part for Maintenace. Also calling Chanel 5 ********* to do a story, and ******** posts. She also claimed that we vandalized her marker due to calling Chanel 5 which is a fallacy. This cemetery is not neglected nor abandoned. I have also spoken with several people she sent out to the cemetery to complain and resolved all their questions. There is really nothing else I can do to make this woman happy and therefore since the work was done on the marker by the company it was outsourced to, she will not be getting a refund. All services are backed up for most companies after covid. If our efforts here at the cemetery are that unsatisfactory she always has the option to disinter her loved ones at a cost and reinter at another cemetery.
