I received a collection letter from this company for erroneous prescription charges. Three of the prescriptions should have been charged to my new insurance, and I forwarded the correct info to do so. The fourth prescription, which was a charge for $532.22 was not ever filled or received by me. I sent a response on May 3, 2023. I received a subsequent collection letter dated May 17, 2023 with no change and no acknowledgement AT ALL of the unlawful prescription charge. NONE of these are valid and I would like this to be removed from any collections and/or credit reports immediately.Business Response

We received letters dated May 5, 2023 for itemized medical bills from an accident that occurred April 21, 2021. We were admitted as trauma and E.R patients. We have paid directly to our hospitals and have never heard of this company that wants us to pay them instead. Ref#

There was a lawsuit for my sister ***** ***** who passed away. We were later informed that ***** put a medical lien on her estate, which in NJ Subrogation is illegal. ***** stated that we must speak with the Rawlings Group. My mother has been in contact with ******* ******** for months at this point with no real answers. We need the Rawlings group to either let ****** ******* know that this debt is not valid or provide details and validation for this debt as soon as possible.Business Response

I received a letter (reference number ********* stating that in owe $203.67 to Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, my old insurance through my employer for prescription benefits. I signed into my old insurance portal, checked my records and I do not have any outstanding debt or any record of any money owed. This seems to be a scam, as it lists no group or member number, or specifics about any prescription I’ve had. I would like a confirmation that I do not, in fact, owe any money.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
As to the information provided in the letter, I have responded to their letter but have not heard back regarding my response and there was no past due amount listed on my prior insurers website that was missed. I would have likely received a bill or request from the insurer themselves regarding an amount owed before a hird party collections agency would have gotten involved. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I was insured under my *******'s insurance for medical coverage. The medical coverage was purchased through his former employer's ***** coverage. The coverage was cancelled for both my ******* and I on 9/30/22. On 10/24/22, we received a letter predated for 10/25/22 from Rawlings Financial (how can a letter dated 10/25, arrive on 10/24?) It stated that 3 pharmacy claims paid in September were not covered and requested $900.81. for overpayment of claims on the part of our medical insurer to the pharmacy. According to the letter, the claims occurred on 9/6/22 - 9/13/22. The letter does not specify what prescriptions there were for but both my ******* and had medical/pharmacy coverage through 9/30/22. We both paid the full premium for September 2022 to the 3rd party ***** manger, as designated by the former employer. I called *****, the agent assigned to the case, twice leaving messages at her extension, but received no call back. I did speak to ********, another agent, who advised that the records had been updated to show that ***** coverage ended 9/30/22. She was supposed to send a message to ***** to send an audit closure letter. She advised the there was nothing owed on the account. I would have emailed, faxed or mailed supporting documents but no contact info other than a number and extension for ***** was given in the letter. Since ***** never called me back, I want to ensure this matter is resolved and that audit closure letter is actually sent to us. I also want to ensure that no negative credit reports have been made regarding this incidentCustomer Answer

I am updating this office to let you know that I received an audit closure letter from Rawlings Financial Services on 11/1/22. They indicated that they verified coverage for the claims in question and that no refund was due. The audit is now closed. After receiving this letter, I now consider the matter resolved and request that the BBB close this case. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
