I rented a dumpster delivered on Tuesday, June 10th. The agreement was they would pick it up on Saturday June 14th. It has not been picked up and they will not return my phone calls. It is blocking one of my cars in the garage as I thought it would be picked up before Monday when I needed it. They say they are having dispatch issues and I will not be charged. However, I feel like they are using my driveway for dumpster storage and I want it removed immediately.Business Response

The complainant's narrative is valid and understandable. Due to a breakdown in communication and mechanical difficulties, pickup was delayed. Apologies are extended.Initial Complaint

Paid $235 for Liberty Dumpster to bring me a 10 yard dumpster. We were supposed to be renting it for a week. After 4 days, they came and picked up the dumpster that was totally empty. I called May 9 and asked about the pickup because I thought it was a week rental. I explained the dumpster was picked up completely empty because we had not been able to throw away anything. They said there was nothing they could do. ?Then May 30 they charged us $573.95 and when I called them they said it was for 1.5 tons (3,000 pounds) on garbage thrown away. I explained the dumpster was empty when they picked it up and **** * (billing supervisor) told me the landfill weighed the dumpster at 3,000 pounds and our agreement was for $0.15 per pound. When I explained the dumpster was empty when it left my property she said I was wrong. I explained i called May 9 about an empty dumpster being picked up and asked that she, as the supervisor listen to confirm and she said "we only listen to those recordings when it benefits us!" I told her I would dispute the charge because I know for a fact the dumpster was empty and she threatened to put a lean on my home and charge us extra fees for disputing. Absolutely would NEVER recommend because they are dishonest and refuse to discuss any resolution even when have proof of their wrong doings.Business Response

The complainant's fallacious statement is riddled with falsehood. Attached is the Certified Weight Ticket showing 1.5 tons or 3,000 pounds of debris weight in the complainant's dumpster. This dispute is unsubstantiated and unfounded.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I called on Friday May 9 between 4pm and 5pm and said to the representative that I was under the impression we rented for a week and that the dumpster was empty. I have been told by both representatives that all calls are recorded and **** * (Billling Supervisor) informed me they only listen to those calls when it benefits them. If anyone would pull that call, they will see that this claim is not fraudulent and unfounded. That dumpster was empty. There is proof right there in that call the very day, within a few hours of the dumpster removal, that we indeed did not through away anything let alone 1.5 tons.I am contacting the dumpster company we used immediately after Liberty to show we needed a dumpster and how much we wasted to process there's no way we had this much waste.
Sincerely,

I rented a dumpster on February 25th, 2025. Delivery was confirmed by the dumpster company to be March 1st, 2025 with a confirmed pickup date of March 3rd. This dumpster was strictly for household items. I fill the dumpster with the household goods I need disposed of. I kept track of all of the items in there. By my estimates the weight of the items would not exceed 1500 lbs. I was intentional about what I put in the dumpster to avoid it being too heavy. On Monday no one arrived to pick up the dumpster. On Tuesday morning I contacted the company asking them to come get the dumpster because it would be raining for two days. I knew the rain would collect in the dumpster as well as soak into the items in the dumpster to create extra weight. They told me they would be there Friday to pick it up. This would be after the two days of rain. I was insured I would not insure extra weight because of the rain. I received my final bill today, almost a month after pickup, stating the weight was almost 1,000 over my estimate. There is no way those items would've weighed that much when they were dry. I would not have rented the dumpster had I known they wouldn't pick it up on time causing me to incur extra charges which I was assured would not happen. There terms were deceiving and I believe they intentionally waited to pickup the item until after it rained so I would incur more charges. I was not given the options to delay pick up for the items to dry to their original weight.Business Response

Our company doesn't have oversight over weighing the debris in the dumpster. The weight of the debris in this complainant's dumpster was confirmed and verified by the landfill and overseen by the Department of Weights and Measures.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:They refused to remove the dumpster on the day they confirmed they would pick it up. Those chose to wait until several days after the confirmed pickup day resulting in additional wait due to the rain. They also lied about their BBB rate on their website which is why I went with this company so they were false advertising.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:I dispute the overweight charges related to my recent dumpster rental. Per our agreement, the dumpster was scheduled for pickup on Monday. When your team failed to collect it as promised, I immediately reached out, specifically noting the forecasted rain and my concern that it would cause additional weight—through no fault of my own.
Despite my proactive communication, the dumpster was not retrieved until Friday, after multiple days of rain. As a result, the added moisture substantially increased the weight of the contents. Based on the materials disposed of, I estimate the actual weight to be no more than 1,300 pounds. I am willing to pay for that amount only. Any excess weight is directly caused by your failure to honor the scheduled pickup and should not be charged to me.
Additionally, I am compelled to express my concern regarding potential fraudulent business practices. The address listed on your website does not appear to be a valid or physical business location. Furthermore, your website prominently claims that your company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and a five-star rating on Trustpilot. After personally investigating these claims, I have found them to be false. These representations directly influenced my decision to choose your company, and I consider this a serious breach of consumer trust.
While you have offered a vague “discount,” you have refused to provide any specific amount or acknowledgement of fault. This lack of transparency, coupled with misleading advertising and your failure to meet basic service obligations, is unacceptable.
I respectfully request a revised invoice that reflects a maximum charge for 1,300 pounds and a clear accounting of the adjustment. If this matter is not resolved promptly and fairly, I will be compelled to pursue further action through appropriate channels.
Sincerely,
****** *****Business Response

On Wednesday February 12th, I rented a roll-off dumpster from Liberty Dumpster (***********************) after being quoted $280 for a 2-day rental. However, I was invoiced for more than the quoted amount—even though I had the dumpster for less than 24 hours.
It was delivered around 12:30 PM on Wednesday and picked up before 11 AM on Thursday. When I called to ask why, I was told that since it was dropped off one day and picked up the next, they considered it a 2-day rental—even though it was in my possession for under a full day.
As a result, my job was only halfway finished when they unexpectedly took the dumpster. I had to rent another one from a different company. Later, I received a 2nd invoice for the $0.15 per pound disposal fee but this also included undisclosed charges. The total expense for a dumpster that I had for less than 24 hours was $700. The other company that I had to rent from dropped off a dumpster for up to 7 days and their total was $230.Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:My primary issue is with their misleading definition of a two-day rental. How can dropping off the dumpster after 12 PM and picking it up before 11 AM the next day reasonably be considered two full days? While I understand that the rental technically spans two calendar days—Wednesday and the following day—the actual time the renter has possession of the dumpster is less than 24 hours. Ethically, this does not align with what was agreed upon. In any other situation, a two-day rental would extend beyond 24 hours. It seems their rental agreement is intentionally vague to enable quicker turnarounds and maximize rentals of their equipment. Over the phone, I was quoted a rental price of $280, including tax. However, the final invoice came to $708—a shocking and unacceptable discrepancy.
Additionally, their deceptive rental terms and premature pickup caused our project to be left unfinished until I was forced to rent another dumpster from a different company. When I shared my experience with Liberty with Quantum Enterprises, they were shocked that any company operated this way. Unlike Liberty, Quantum quoted me $230, and that was exactly what I was invoiced—no hidden fees or misleading policies.

The complainant’s assertion of engaging in misleading, deceptive
practices are unsupported by facts. The complainant agreed to the following
contract terms, “Delivery and pickup time/date may be affected by weather,
traffic, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen events. Every effort will be
made to accommodate the customers requested date/time for delivery and/or
pickup; however, date/time is not guaranteed, nor is Liberty Dumpster bound
contractually to a specific date/time. Therefore, the complainant’s assertions

They claim on their website that they have no hidden fees but after they picked this dumpster up I was upcharged an additional $520.22 or .15 cents per pound. They will not send me proof of the weight either. They have completely ghosted me on this and this is bad business.Business Response

This company is alleging that I threw away more than 2 tons of trash. They are refusing to reach out to their scaling company to make sure there was not a mistake on the invoice. I believe that they altered the final weight or added weight in order to receive more money. I have included pictures of what I threw away, which was cardboard boxes, and one disassembled bunkbed. There is no way this even reached one let alone 2 And now they are threatening me with a mechanical lien because I contested the amount they are trying to charge me. There was no renovation there was no heavyweight items. It was literally 90% cardboard.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The wording in the contract is misleading. I’ve attached the actual contract not the invoice that the business keeps referring to. The contract had an amount due that I signed and was agreeable to if there was automatically an additional amount due at the time of signing it should’ve been presented on the contract. The business continues to allege that I was overweight, but when I contacted the actual dumpster company that the business brokered They confirmed that my dumpster was .0 0/ fourth of a ton which means that my dumpster was not over the 2 ton limit. So whether the company keeps insisting that they are charging me for an overage that I did not have that they refused to provide any proof to, or whether they’re alleging that I have to pay for 2 tons from the moment I signed the contract for $300 which would mean the contract should’ve stated initially $600 plus the $300 . The information provided by the business is still in accurate, and they cannot seem to decide what they are actually charging me for.To sum it up more concisely… Liberty has stated multiple times they are charging me for an overage. Redbox, which is the company that provided the dumpster has confirmed that there was no overage and assured me that they would reach out to liberty.
If the business would like to change their approach and state that $600 was due at the time of signing the contract then that amount should’ve been included in the contract rather than a false amount used predatorily to get me to agree to a charge that was not stated or shown in the amount due
Please insist that the business provide of overage of weight from the dumpster company that they used which has proof that there was no overage on the weight.
Sincerely,

This company states no surprises and no hidden costs. The company requires a contract that states drop off date, pick up date, and 15 cents per pound of debris. The contract states a $35 fee for additional day past pickup is required. They were supposed to pick up on September 21, did not call, text or email that they weren't picking up. They were closed and did not pick up Sunday. I spoke to them via phone and text more than 5 times on Monday to get a pickup time and told over and over different times. Then they did not pick up. On Tuesday was the same story. Calls, texts, promises made. I told them that it rained Saturday through Tuesday and we would not be paying extra because of their mistake. Everything we had in the dumpster had been soaked and swelling with all the water. I told them we were unable to get to our garage and were having to park on our lawn which was killing the grass. They finally picked up on Wednesday Sept 25. I told them they had to get a hold of me before any bills were created as they broke contract and made mistakes causing our load to be MUCH higher than it should be. They charged our card for $711 on Oct 21 with no call, notes, texts. I left a voicemail, several emails, and laid out for them the amount we would NOT be paying and that they charged our card without authorization. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone so I filed a dispute on the card. I feel like this is a scam and we are out more money than I disputed. I cannot find a way to review them on google so other people do not use them. We want our money back on the portion that we feel we shouldn't have to pay due to their negligence. If need be we will get lawyers involved.Business Response
