3 starsCalled Precision to replace both springs on our garage door. Tech was here an hour, replaced springs, and made sure the door was in working order. The charge was $750.00!! We feel ripped off. In researching, the average cost was $250-$500.Review fromJosh R

There was a slight misunderstanding on fees at first, but everything ended being sorted out. The technician that came out was fantastic and explained why the cord was off track. He completed the task in time. Appreciate the communication and understanding g of everything!

I gave two stars on google but the more I think about it, the more I realized the company completely failed in this job.
Had an issue where the wires on my spool and spring got loosened. Called them out and they showed up next day (on time and professional). When they showed up they explained the $75 service fee to roll the truck and then started the inspection. The recommendation was to replace both steel cables and the rollers, which was going to be ~400 dollars. Not too long after he came back in and said that the spools needed to be replaced because the steel cables they used weren't compatible. The price then jumped again from ~400 to ~600. At this point I just wanted a working garage door so I agreed and let him finish the work. After awhile he came back to me a third time and said that all the tools he had to tighten the spring wouldn't fit in the hole and said the only thing to do is to replace the springs which were 250 a piece. Now sending me over 1000 dollars when the initial estimate was 400. I started questioning him and this thought process. 1. Why don't you have the proper tools, surely you work with older doors either to repair or replace them. 2. If the springs aren't in bad shape, why do we need to replace them because you aren't properly equipped for the job. I had him stop immediately, payed him for the parts and time (which only included the two spools) and he offered to wave the 75 dollar service fee since he wasn't able to complete the job. He then called someone to ask about if they had different size tightening bars and the answer was no, but they could order them and he made the comment that they really should have them for these types of situations.
Overall I'm completely annoyed that I took off time from work to coordinate this repair, only to be constantly up sold on parts because they didn't have the tools for the job. I feel ripped off and will never recommend this company for work. I'd seek a refund but I'd doubt they'd agree.Precision Garage Door Service

1 starPlease don't use precision Door of Louisville. You will have regrets and the company will lie and deceive you. My phone number is ************. I can send you pictures that will show how terrible this companies workmanship is. You will have your frame removed and the wood frame removed, both without your approval or knowledge. I also would advise you to first and foremost get their Insurance Information. They will refuse your right to file a claim. And take pics before they show up. Just never leave them alone in your garage or you'll be as sorry as I am for trusting this company. Rick is the Owner and he a professional bully. Be warned this company on Produce Road is fraudulent. You have my number if you need it.
