I closed on my home on 12/18/2025; ever since Fischer has not worked to resolve issues with my concern with my homes. I have had some many issues due to Fischer and their contractors rushing to build my home. There are several cracks in the concrete that the manager doesn’t seem to see anything wrong with. For this concrete to be newly poured there should not be cracks within the corner of the joints. There shouldn’t be cracks in the steps were water can get behind the concrete and causes issues in the future. Fischer home has not upheld there standards as to providing quality work. I have had several issues with the plumbing and hvac systems causing higher bills when my home is supposed to be energy efficient.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau,
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this claim.
On March 17th, our Construction Manager spoke with **** ****** via phone, and she stated she had some issues regarding her exterior concrete, specifically her driveway and step leading to the front porch of the home. On that day, she had submitted several photos of the areas in question. After looking these over, he responded to **** ****** on March 20th and explained to her that everything in her photos was within the industry standards and within the tolerance outlined in the Fischer Homes Homeowner Use and Care Guide. In her photos, she had minor cracking within control joints on the driveway. The purpose of control joints is to help control the cracking as best as we can, however, it is nearly impossible to predict when or how concrete will crack over time. Here is the excerpt from the use and care guide we are referencing:
Minor concrete cracking is normal and to be expected. Control joints are placed in the concrete to help control cracks and provide a less visible area for them to occur. Cracking can be caused by elements outside of the builder's control. We will repair cracks (only outside of control joints) that exceed 1/4 of an inch in width and/or of an inch in vertical displacement. The repaired area may not match the existing area in color and texture.
In regard to the HVAC and plumbing concerns **** ****** has brought forth; it was discovered upon moving in that the HVAC contractor performing the work on the home had wired the furnace incorrectly. Upon discovering this, we reimbursed **** ****** for the excess portion of her first bill and remediated the problem as quickly as possible. In addition, upon moving into the home, she also discovered a toilet was running due to an issue with the flap inside of the tank. This matter was resolved within a couple of days of us being notified as well.
Thank you,
Fischer Homes

I am not satisfied with the respond from my builder regarding my concerns am related to my concrete. There is no way my concrete should be looking like this after only 3 months. None of my neighbors driveway looks like this. I have attached photos of my driveway. Please see photos, I could not respond in the complaint so that’s why I am emailing you directly. Where would I need to go from here to get this resolved with Fischer homes.Business Response

I put down $3,000 and signed a contract to have a home built with Fischer Homes on June 21st, while signing I was told multiple times with my father present that if I were to back out prior to making selections at the design center I would be able to get that money back. I have not gone to the design center yet and have elected to build with a different builder knowing that I could get that money back. Fischer homes is now telling me due to signing the contract they will be keeping the $3,000, even though I was told multiple times while signing the contract that I would be able to get the money back.Business Response

I recently Informed ******* ***** that I would require a 1 year warranty on flooring work to be completed in conjunction with my 1 year homeowner warranty. (If the issue hadnt existed to begin with, or had been addressed properly, it would have been covered with a 1 year warranty) Fischer refused to warranty the work and informed me I would have to file with arbitration. I recently informed Fischer that I wanted to proceed with the warranty work and am no longer requiring the additional 1 year warranty on the work completed; Fischer responding by telling me I would have to file with arbitration. Fischer is therein failing to comply with the binding legal agreement entered into with my purchase contract by not providing my 1 year warranty work (work which was identified to be completed by a structural engineer hired by Fischer to assess my home). This is After I had to file a complaint with the city to even get Fischer to address the issues with the home, resulting in the assessment by the engineer. Fischer is violating my warranty agreement and purchase contract.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau,
******* ***** was always willing to honor this warrantable item, but there were other demands that we were not willing to agree to. At one point there was an agreement between the two parties that would have compensated her for the repair amount, but she changed her mind.
A ******* ***** associate will contact our customer on Monday, June 24th to discuss the repair procedure again.
******* ***** is confident that we can regain our customer's satisfaction and resolve this matter amicably.

We closed on our brand-new home built by Fischer Homes on 11-20-23. We had the home inspected on 11/4 and the inspector was unable to check the supposedly brand-new dishwasher to see if it was functional because the water connection had been turned off. Little did we know that the water connection was turned off purposely because the site manager ******** knew that the dishwasher didn't work.
During the walk-through on 11/16 while we were in dismay over the absolutely terrible paint and drywall finish on the home, ****** slyly said that he would run a dishwasher cycle(which he lied about.)
Yes, the dishwasher turns on for the first minute and it looks like the cycle will start. Within a minute, the error messa** "H20" appears in the display. Turning the valve under the sink didn't result in water flow to the dishwasher.
When questioned, ****** said that he would order the necessary part. Why would a part need to be ordered for a brand-new appliance? This infers that a faulty appliance was installed in our brand-new kitchen, which is not what we payed $500k for. Why was our new home chosen for the installation of an appliance that Fischer Homes should eat the cost on??????
I has now been almost 4 weeks and we are still without a brand new dishwasher. Our sales contract specifies NEW APPLIANCES that will be functional at the start. A warranty issue doesn't apply in this case, since it's SUPPOSEDLY a brand-new appliance.
I called Fischer Homes Corporate and the CS rep told me to call ** about the warranty??? Ridiculous and UNACCEPTABLE.
We will tell everyone we know, not that it matters about Fischer Homes' HORRIBLE customer service and UNECTHICAL PRACTICES. It doesn't matter that we will NEVER EVER buy another Fischer Home. ALL they have to do IS REPLACE THE DISHWASHER WITH A NEW ONE--QUICKLY!!!!!!Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau,
Fischer Homes has discussed this matter with the Field
Manager and the following is where we believe we are to date with this one.First, we fully believe that our Field Manger would never intentionally
turn the water off, it was off for the Plumbing Final inspection. We are very
sorry that the ** appliance had a malfunction, and we understand their
frustration, but there wasn’t an unethical practice committed by the Field
Manager. The issue has since been rectified by the ** Service team.
There was a slight kink in the water supply line, and the ** Tech replaced the
solenoid valve as a precaution. The Field Manager saw the customer in their front yard and
stopped top make sure the ** Tech resolved it to their satisfaction and the
customer said yes and thanked him.Fischer Homes takes great pride in their high customer
satisfaction rating and will do everything we can to accommodate our customers’
warranty matters.
Sincerely,
Fischer Homes

We have purchased a home on Feb20th 2023 from Fisher homes at Bridal Run Louisville KY 40245.
Fisher Homes building VERY CHEAP Homes with VERY POOR QUALITY here. We had to EVACUATE on Day2 itself due to improper electrical wiring and voltage fluctuations. There will be no response from construction manager/Fisher homes emergency team. They are good for nothing. Bridal Run sales team lies on everything to sell their homes and put you down on your dream home. They agreed to level my backyard during agreement, now they declined, no work has done and want to save their money.
Everything will change from the beginning until you signed the contract. They will make up any excuse to keep your deposit.Business Response

Water leaks into the basement from the ceiling when it rains. The water is coming from the exterior wall, near the canopy hood penetration. I have shown multiple video clips to **** ******* field manager, about the issue. No action is taken to further diagnose the problem and address the issue. The subfloor, framing, and insulation are getting soaked even with little rain.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18836063, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
we noticed a tech come and go. Left some siding boards near the side. We are not sure if they repaired any siding or if the material is garbage. The issue is not resolved.
