1 starWe are very disappointed and aggravated with Drexler's HVAC team. We have had ongoing issues with them for almost 6 weeks.
June 4 Our yearly check-up and maintenance,we had no issues with our 2 year old system other than it is less efficient than our old one. Technician says we need Fan motor cleaned $495, Inside coil Cleaned $495, A couple new parts added to Heat Pump $500. approx. A total of $1429.00 This and we already pay $16.50/month for their membership.(supposedly for discounts)
Technician gets angry when I say I will need to discuss this with my Husband when he gets home, that is a lot to pay for such. Threatens me, if we try to do it ourselves it will void the warranty!
We thought it over and was afraid to not have the work done so I call to schedule the work
June 26- came to clean and install new parts that should make it work with less strain. The unit didn't work any better, over a few days wasn't cooling well and then freezing up within 5 minutes.
July 1 Another technician came and investigated, says we need a TXV , will send install team next day to fix. Never heard from anyone. Called to check around midday on July 2, Later found out that they say ordered part but will not get to it until July 8. Waited all day July 8 Install tech comes, says it doesn't need the TXV after all, found a small leak on a tee valve on the Heat pump, removed and says good to go. It took 8 hours to get from 80 degrees to 72 degrees, Overnight cooled,by Noon July 9 freezing up.
Called again, told someone would be out on 7/10. waited all day, I called told it will be late evening. 8pm called and said they will be out on 7/11. Technician Dustin( wonderful) came and found that the TXV line had a hole in it. It will be at least Monday before they get the part(seems to be the same part from before???) He charged the system which worked for a few hours. All this and on July 9 We requested to speak to a manager, it takes 24-48 hours to call back.

Loved the speedy free quote that was given after his arrival. I was showed several different options and the price breakdown for each. He explained the differences between each. Then after making my decision he started draining my hot water heater and left to go pick up the new one. This was a very professional and helpful process. I made a mistake. Should have called Tom Drexler first and actually utilized two other companies who cannot resolve my issue. The HVAC technician Dylan D******* arrived and quickly diagnosed the issue. He was professional, well spoken, and knowledgeable. He explained the issue in terms I could understand. I have recommend Dylan and Tom Drexler. I so appreciate the AC problem repaired. Who wants to be without AC in 90° temps?Tom Drexler Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric
