    Date of Transaction: March 2024
    Deposit Paid: $11,000 on 03/15/2024

We hired Window World and signed a contract in March 2024. Installation was scheduled for June 7. The contractors arrived smelling of alcohol, left trash in our yard, installed windows incorrectly, and completely missed one of the three basement windows. The other two were the wrong color. They claimed they’d return the next morning but didn’t show until 4:30 PM. Due to their behavior, we couldn’t stay. They rushed to close the garage windows, which were still not properly installed.

On June 9, 2024, the owner came, took photos, and admitted the job was poor and needed to be redone. We never heard from him again until 02/25/2025—nearly a year later. Then he showed up unannounced during dinner in March 2025, pressuring us to reschedule. Over Easter weekend, we were given less than 12 hours’ notice to finish the job—disrespectful and unprofessional.

Our interior walls are damaged, and we’ve lost all trust in this company. They advertise being family-owned with quality work, but our experience and numerous reviews suggest otherwise—delays, poor installation, and lack of accountability.

We still owe $9,000, but we will not be paying it. The original contract is broken due to failure to complete the job, lack of communication, and unacceptable service.

We request no further contact. We are prepared to provide documentation, photos, and records. This business should not be allowed to continue operating in this manner or installing windows in anyone’s home.

Whenever Window World receives a contract to install our products in a customer's home we are grateful for their order and will do everything possible to make sure that the product is correct without blemishes and is installed correctly.  Any installer inebriated on the job is against company policy and will not be tolerated.  After reviewing the twenty-two window order on-site after the initial installation we realized that corrections on the interior and exterior needed to be made on a few windows and our factory failed to ship one window and two were made the wrong color.  These were re-ordered and to our regret were received again the wrong color and needed to be ordered again.  Both before and after the remakes were received we made multiple attempts by phone and text to contact the customer and received no response.  After a personal visit the homeowner instructed us to contact his cell phone by text to schedule the installation and corrections.  We never pressure anyone to schedule an installation at a certain time but will always work around their schedule and inclement weather.  After we sent a text to schedule we received a response not at this time and they will reach out to us if and when their schedules allow.  It is our intention now and has always been to complete the corrections and remaining installation and are at this point prohibited from doing so.  Hopefully, we will receive homeowner contact and can proceed.

I had Window World replace all windows in my home 29 total. The windows do not operate as they should.
The top sash drops down when you unlock the window on many of them. When you want to close and lock them you have to push and hold the top sash up push the bottom sash down and lock all at the same time, impossible for 1 person!! Other windows the top sash is so tight you have to almost hang on them to get them down.
I began contacting Window World in August of 2021 over these issues and have been more then patient. Window World has sent service technician out and some of their remedies have been spraying window tracts with ****** furniture polish!!! Replace balancers, none have worked,
***** **** the owner has been out himself a couple of times and brought a factory representative once.
***** **** also told me the only solution he has at this point is to replace the windows, but he did not want to get in his pocket and pay for them. These windows have a lifetime warranty that is why I purchased them . The windows are in perfect condition but do not operate. I have been more then patient waiting 1 year before filing this complaint. I have given them many chances to correct these issues the cheap easy way but that hasn't worked. To be clear ***** **** the owner told me the windows need to be replaced but the manufacture doesn't want to cover them and ***** doesn't want to pay for them. ***** has told me time and time again he will reach out to manufacture and his response has been they didn't act too warm and fuzzy about replacing your windows.

[[BBB TRANSCRIPTION VIA FWD EMAIL FROM THE BUSINESS 10/3/2022]]

We recently purchased the license to operate the Window World franchise in the

Kentuckiana area from Window World, Inc. and have contacted the customer

regarding his windows that he purchased in 2002.  After we have performed due

diligence by researching the service history and by meeting with the customer

and examining the windows on-site, we are going to consult with the manufacturer and the customer and work to resolve the issues.

The previous owner of Window World responded with a similar resolution they made several visits to my home and never resolved any of the issues. They had a manufacturing representative visit my home ,the owner  came to my home, service supervisor came to my home, the windows need to be replaced and no one wants to be held accountable, due to the expense.I worked with the last owner for over a year and never contacted the BBB. I am tired of getting the run around.
