We've been coming to Strategic Wealth for 10 years. If we didn't trust them we wouldn't keep coming for our visits. We are very happy with the services they provide. We are confident in their abilities. The new advisor, Jim J**** is very knowledgeable, an excellent listener and very calming.

We met with Jennifer L***** from SWD to discuss changing to Medicare from employer provided healthcare - sooner than we had planned. Jennifer did an excellent job cutting through the jungle of misinformation and misunderstanding we had. After one meeting we felt confident about
making informed decisions without the penalty of paying for the wrong plan! When ever we talk to friends, most do not have good information - there is simply too much to know. We will encourage all of them to call Jennifer if it’s not too late them!Strategic Wealth Designers

SWD has been invaluable to me in transitioning my income from over 4 decades of full time employment to more segregated income streams and a new way of getting healthcare coverage. Jennifer has been invaluable in getting the best health care provisions given the opportunities available on the street and those available from my past employers.

Do not give these guys your money! My husband and I attended one of their "steak dinners" and met with Rob L***** as a follow up so that he could understand our investment goals. Rob later came back with an investment pitch that seemed to meet our goals although we were not allowed to think about it. He demanded a decision on the spot. One of the investment vehicles that he wanted to put our money in was a Private Equity fund which had a $2,000 a year management fee and required a 5 year commitment to which he espoused 17% a year returns which seemed like a no brainer. Although they "forgot" to invest our money in the fund during the first 6 month buy in window and so our money sat for 8 months doing nothing. Another fund was a annuity earned on average 4% a year which had a 10 year commitment but he assured us that we could get out at the 5 year mark with no penalty. I asked this question over and over because I would never allow myself to be locked into something for 10 years and he assured me we could withdraw 10% per year with no penalty and take all of it out after 5 years with no penalty. He invested over 50% of our total invested money and 100% of my 401K into this stupid fund only to find out that it cannot be withdrawn during the 10 year period but for the 10% each year. It did not make any money in the first year. He is a complete crook!!!! We asked to be moved to another manager and they just made another mistake when we went to take out our first year's 10% penalty free withdrawal. Somehow they lost the transaction at Ameritrade and now two months have gone by and it all has to be redone! These guys are bafoons! DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY! We will be withdrawing our money from them. They are completely incompentent if not criminal.Strategic Wealth Designers

First, let me apologize for the issue you experienced with TD Ameritrade and the 10% withdrawal you wanted to complete. Administrative errors like this unfortunately happen sometimes, and it does not make us 'buffoons.' However, that's about as close to the truth as your review comes. You stated Rob demanded a decision on the spot implying that he somehow pressured you into making a decision. This seems incredibly unlikely as you met with him 3 times over a period of a month and a half and had more than ample time to ask questions or voice any concerns. You mentioned how we 'forgot' to invest your money in the Private Equity fund. This statement is completely inaccurate in that your money would have been invested had you completed and returned the paperwork that was sent on multiple occasions, and with more than a few unanswered follow-up calls from our team. Lastly, it appears there is confusion regarding the annuity 'fund' as you called it. Our advisors are very well versed in these contracts and have completed the required training on all annuity products they may offer clients including the length of term, interest crediting methods, riders, etc. Rob has literally worked with clients on hundreds of these contracts over the past several years, and we have never once been informed that he told someone they could get all their money back without penalty after 5 years- unless it was a 5-year contract. So, I don't believe for a moment that is what he told you. Additionally, I have reviewed the notes of your meetings as well as the various forms you signed and find it hard to imagine you didn't know the length of the contract. I'm sorry if we didn't live up to your expectations, but we wish you nothing but the best in finding an advisory relationship that meets your needs.Review fromJerry S

5 starsI have been with SWD for a couple of years and was looking to retire in January 2024. Unfortunately, I was part of a massive layoff from my employer in January 2023. The company had a good severance plan, so I had a little extra time to work with the team, especially with Jennifer L. when faced with forced retirement. She helped tremendously to get through the mire of Medicare. I think I would have needed therapy if I had to navigate this path on my own. She saved my sanity.Review fromCharles L

They put out a dinner seminar yesterday, but they overbooked and we couldn't get in. First they say we cannot get in because the presented is already here. Then they say we are late (time on invitation is 6:30 pm, see https://swdgroup.com/educational-events), and we arrived at the restaurant door 2 minutes late due to 17 miles rush hour traffic.
True, they did call a couple of hours prior and asked for 6:15 pm arrival. However, they never told about the overbooking situation and informed the possibility of not being able to get in. When we told them we drove for 17 miles, they only offered two $25 coupons for the same restaurant, which we rejected.
We attended similar seminars before, and the other hosts were always welcoming, caring and accommodating. I can't imagine I would be this firm's priority if they get my business.
